Irving doesn't count because he isn't a great defender. You have to be amazing at everything to count.
Which is why Dennis Rodman counts. We all know he was one of the greatest scorers of all time. Almost as good as James Harden.

Love and Irving are average defenders, but they certainly aren't liabilities. It was Love that locked down Curry 1:1 near the end of Game 7 to seal it. Even if you want to say he is a below average defender, he was clutch defensively when it counted. It's not an all or nothing premise.
Pippen was the perfect complement to Jordan. He was one of the leagues best defenders, could play off ball and score when Jordan needed a rest.
Kyrie is a great player no doubt but he, along with K Love were liabilities on defense during those playoff runs.
Pippen wasn't.

Does anyone actually watch basketball here?
It's hard to have a conversation with someone who says Irving and Love are "average defenders". If you aren't go to watch, at least do a little bit of reading on just how horrible both players were on defense.
Please spare me your sanctimonious tone. I've tried to not be disrespectful in this thread.Does anyone actually watch basketball here?

Also Westbrook almost had 30 assists in the game. I’ve always thought as a player I would rather have Westbrook than Harden.
I would have considered Westbrook as the better player in previous select years, but not this season and not overall.
Westbrook is the guy who shoots the ball 25 times a night while significantly better teammates like Harden, Durant, Olidipo, and George finish the game with 15 shots.
He's currently chucking up 5 threes per game at .229 efficiency.

Obscene numbersJames Harden is averaging 41.9 ppg in his last 20 games. WTF.
The most destructive player in the NBA is being traded to the Bulls. Luckily he won’t have a chance to poison them and give them more wins.
AD will go to the Lakers, then Sunset will act like he’s not a HoF caliber player, and that LeBron carries him.
