Well I imagine in a couple of months we'll be seeing mass steel worker layoffs.

The good news is I guess we're not going to see any more s***ty Trump-branded skyscrapers, since those were all built with Chinese steel anyhow.

Republicans don't know the meaning of the word hypocrisy.

No really, they don't know what it means. :)

In all seriousness, as I try to understand what these people think - one thing is clear - they don't care about hypocrisy. They don't like Obama. They like Trump. Consistency? They just don't care.

Nothing to see here.....

Trump Jr. business partner has had access to government officials: report

A Texas hedge fund manager with business ties to Donald Trump Jr. was able to meet with top national security officials in the last year to pitch a plan that would help U.S. companies in Venezuela, The Associated Press reported Monday.

The news outlet obtained court records and documents that show Trump Jr. has been in business with Gentry Beach dating back to the mid-2000s, and that the two recently formed a company.

Beach and an Iraqi-American businessman met last year with National Security Council officials and pitched a proposal to curb sanctions in Venezuela and open up business for U.S. companies there, the AP reported.

An official told the news outlet that officials didn’t act on the pitch, but were told to take the meeting because of Beach’s ties to Trump Jr.

The Trump Organization said in a statement that Trump Jr. hasn’t played a role arranging meetings with “anyone at the White House or any other government agency.”

Beach told the AP in a statement that he never used his relationship with Trump Jr. to try and influence the government.

A Trump Organization attorney acknowledged that Trump Jr. had business relations with Beach in the past, but pointed the AP to a previously released statement that said their relationship was “strictly personal.”

The Trump administration has drawn scrutiny from watchdog groups since President Trump took office over concerns that the president has not adequately separated himself from his family's business affairs.

Trump turned over the Trump Organization to his two adult sons, Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, when he took office. Multiple watchdog groups have filed complaints that the business is using the presidency to enrich itself.

Robert Jeffress, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas and an avid supporter of Donald Trump, earned headlines this week for his defense of the president’s adultery with a porn star. Regarding the affair and subsequent financial payments, Jeffress explained, “Even if it’s true, it doesn’t matter.”

Such a casual attitude toward adultery and prostitution might seem odd from a guy who blamed 9/11 on America’s sinfulness. However, seen through the lens of white evangelicals’ real priorities, Jeffress’ disinterest in Trump’s sordid lifestyle makes sense. Religion is inseparable from culture, and culture is inseparable from history. Modern, white evangelicalism emerged from the interplay between race and religion in the slave states. What today we call “evangelical Christianity,” is the product of centuries of conditioning, in which religious practices were adapted to nurture a slave economy. The calloused insensitivity of modern white evangelicals was shaped by the economic and cultural priorities that forged their theology over centuries.

Much more to the article.

And House Intel Committee has wrapped up their investigation. Good thing Mueller is still going strong.

UK says most likely Russian's behind the nerve agent attack. You can guess Trump's position on it.

Tillerson fired, which resets the "Days without a Cabinet departure" to zero, just when it looked like it might reach a high somewhere in the low double digits.

To my surprise, the guy who received a medal from putin, was/is an oil first guy, he seemed like the only voice of reason, empathy, smarts, in the fail house. Of course they got rid of him.

He called out the soviet union. He said something needs to be done on climate change. I was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't perfect, but was, by far, the best with the s*** show there is now.

Glad we gave all those corporations more tax breaks.....

US posts biggest budget deficit since 2012 as tax income falls

The U.S. recorded a $215 billion budget deficit in February -- its biggest in six years -- as revenue declined.

Fiscal income dropped to $156 billion, down 9 percent from a year earlier, while spending rose 2 percent to $371 billion, the Treasury Department said on Monday. The deficit for the fiscal year that began in October widened to $391 billion, compared with a $351 billion shortfall the same period a year earlier, according to the Treasury report.

The data underscore concerns by some economists that Republican tax cuts enacted this year could increase the U.S. government debt load, which has surpassed $20 trillion. The tax changes are expected to reduce federal revenue by more than $1 trillion over the next decade, while a $300 billion spending deal reached by Congress in February could push the deficit higher.

Let's not give the guy too much credit. Most of the capable experienced heads had left the SD over the past year (many just in the last few months) and he wasn't replacing them. His admonishment of the Russian spy poisoning and climate change should just be simple math in normal world.

The never ending story..... soviet union related? Being trump's personal assistant, he has to be mixed up in all of this.

Trump’s Personal Assistant Is Fired
John McEntee was escorted out of White House for unspecified security issue

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump’s personal assistant, John McEntee, was escorted out of the White House on Monday, two senior administration officials said. The cause of the firing was an unspecified security issue, said a third White House official with knowledge of the situation.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders declined to comment saying, “We don’t comment on personnel issues.” Mr. McEntee didn’t return a call seeking comment.

Mr. McEntee was one of the longest-serving aides to Mr. Trump, dating back to the earliest days of the campaign when some of the only aides around the then-candidate included Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser; Stephen Miller, the president’s policy director; White House communications director Hope Hicks, who announced her resignation two weeks ago; and Dan Scavino, who is the White House director of social media.

In additional staff turnover, Mr. Trump on Tuesday said Rex Tillerson was out as secretary of state, after months of speculation over his fate, and that Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo would be nominated to lead the State Department.

Mr. McEntee wasn’t as well known as the others, but had been a constant presence at Mr. Trump’s side for the past three years. He made sure Mr. Trump had markers to sign autographs, delivered messages to him in the White House residence and, over the weekend, ensured that the clocks in the White House residence were adjusted for daylight-saving time.

“It’s not going to be great for morale,” one White House official said about Mr. McEntee’s departure.

Mr. McEntee was removed from the White House grounds on Monday afternoon without being allowed to collect his belongings, a White House official said. He left without his jacket, a second White House official said.

It wasn’t clear exactly why Mr. McEntee was fired Monday. He indicated to colleagues that it was an issue in his background.

Several White House officials have lost their jobs over the past month since White House Chief of Staff John Kelly imposed a stricter security-clearance policy. Those changes were prompted by the departure of staff secretary Rob Porter, who quit after accusations of domestic violence were made public. Mr. Porter has denied the accusations, which had delayed final approval of his security clearance.

Mr. Kelly told reporters earlier this month that when he joined the White House as chief of staff this summer, he realized a large number of staffers still held interim clearances after more than seven months in the administration.

His review turned up “a couple spreadsheets worth of people” at the White House operating with interim security clearance after the first nine months of the Trump administration. He also found at least 35 officials who were inappropriately given top secret clearance.

I agree, but I guess I was thinking more of who was left.

Well Monday was exciting too:
Longtime Trump aide fired over security clearance issue

"President Donald Trump's longtime personal aide John McEntee was fired and escorted from the White House on Monday, three sources with knowledge of the matter told CNN.

Two sources said McEntee was pushed out because of issues with his security clearance, making him the latest aide to be forced out because of difficulties obtaining a permanent security clearance.
The Wall Street Journal first reported his exit.
Minutes later, the Trump campaign announced McEntee would be joining the reelection effort as a senior adviser for campaign operations."

Apparently, they didn't even let him grab his personal belongings or his jacket!

We knew Tillerson was out with "moron" but this is a lot more intriguing and something doesn't add up.

ahh beat me to it
