Yeah, just the journalist's interpretation. He didn't make a recording, so it's just his word.
It wouldn't make any sense for the Pope to say there's no Hell. If anyone takes "Hell" (or let's say dark spiritual realms) seriously, it's Catholics. They're the guys with the exorcists, after all.

The temple? that's property, you don't damage someone else's property. We have man made laws against things and when they are broken people are punished by other people. What happens when we die is anyone's guess, nobody knows for sure and anyone that says they know is a liar, they may hope like hell that they are right but there is no way to know for sure and anyone asking for your devotion because they "figured it out" is a scam artist.

I sent a letter to the Resetera staff. I assume they'll permaban me. I didn't want to post it publically, because that's attention-seeking, but I'll post it here for anyone who cares.
"I don’t need to make a public post about this, but I felt that I should at least express my displeasure to someone before I left.
"I’m disappointed that Era has become a place where you can only speak in certain ways and have certain, approved viewpoints (which I would describe as SJW/feminist/progressive, although I assume you see it as inclusive, diverse, etc.). If you have a different viewpoint, you will be banned and name-called by the moderation staff as misogynist, bigoted, or whatever term comes reflexively into their programmed heads. Even if you are speaking common sense and have facts to back you up, no luck, you will be shut down. Alternative points of view are not welcome.

GAF is annoying me, too. The political discussions are a lot more open, but I've seen some obnoxious stuff on the gaming side. Specifically from Xbox fans (or console warriors, I should say).
For instance, I posted this in the Xbox BC thread:
"I picked up an Xbox One X in part because I wanted to play BC titles. After playing some BC titles, I realize I don't really want to play BC titles that much. Jade Empire was a nice dose of nostalgia, but I don't want to go through the game again. It's nice to see how they improved Oblivion and Morrowind, but I'm not going to spend 100-200 hours going through those epics again. I picked up some other titles (e.g., Kotor), but I don't feel like playing them. Turns out, I'd rather play a new game than an old one."

My country is progressive to the point of foreign ridicule, I'm okay with that, that's not really me though and my country do suffer from it at this point but we do live in a democracy so as long as no foul play with election tactics I'm okay with that, otherwise I would move.

I think he posted that letter here because several of us knew what happened over there and have already talked about it in this thread. By the way he wasn't saying anything wrong over there he was presenting a factual argument, yeah he didn't sugar coat it but he wasn't rude either, the mod in that particular thread just didn't seem to want to allow any dissenting opinions.
Yeah, you absolutely have an unhealthy level of hate and anger and emotional energy bound up in this.
It started (afaik) when you completely lost it in a thread about six months ago. You launched into an intense, extended, vitriolic personal attack on me, full of caps and cursing and blame. "I hate you, I hate you, it's all Andy's fault, I don't feel safe on the forum, I hate you." Followed by a PM full of more of the same. It felt like I was listening to a child having a tantrum, to be honest.
Then you hunkered down in the Unknown section for a month or so, complaining about me being the source of all your problems, saying you were going to leave the forum because Andy was mean to you (without any specifics, of course). Now you're back (as I expected you'd be) for another round of spewing distortions full of resentment and blame.
You claim I'm not that interesting, but you sure pay an awful lot of attention to what I say. And what I say seems to have a pretty powerful effect on you, to the point where you have emotional meltdowns and leave the forum. That isn't normal.
I don't take it personal. I'm pretty non-plussed about it. Occasionally a little irritated at the distortions and accusations. Mostly just marvelling at how weird it is. When I'm listening to you talk about me, it's like looking in a circus mirror -- you know, the ones that make you all distorted, like your head is 10 sizes too big, your body is a noodle, and your feet are huge. So it's hard to take personal. I do think it's more about you than about me.
And for the record, yes, I realize that my letter to the Reset admin was rude. I was letting them know I thought their mod policy stunk. I wasn't interested in having a discussion with them about their moderation policy, nor did I expect one. I was letting them know I was an unhappy customer, I wouldn't be back, and here's why. I didn't see any need to mince words.

Btw, I hope people aren't confusing or conflating my irritation with Resetera, which is minimal, with my disgust at PC/SJW culture. The former is more of a laughing, "how ridiculous" sort of reaction. The latter is much more serious. I think SJW culture is patronizing, repressive, and counter-productive; but more than that, it's tied to deadly, dangerous ideologies such as post-modernism and Marxism. So to me, what SJW/radical feminist/PC culture represents is a very serious subject.
But being banned for 2 weeks from a game forum? Who cares. It's just a game forum. It doesn't matter. When I talk about the two in an intertwined way, some people may think I'm angry or complaining about the Resetera ban. I'm not. That's more of a smh, "how stupid" sort of thing.
It was sarcastic, but factual. Or factual but sarcastic. I ended with a crack about "social justice sensitivities," which I'm sure was the trigger phrase for the mod. Knowing what I know now about how SJW/PC the Resetera mod staff is, I'm not at all surprised they banned me. I deserved it. I was a bad boy.
