Fawks really? I regret posting this now :( I thought it was something along the lines of “all Sony games being the same third person type game”.

Can I request a take down of this post?

Developing a cool, non-sexual female character is a good idea.

I'm tired of hearing about "inclusiveness" and "diversity," though. It can get too much focus sometimes. It can also come off as pretentious, like the guy said.

I agree with him, that I've never felt that way with ND, though.

After reading Andy s comment I I’ll release a statement until I’ve seen this video.

Anyone who played TLOU DLC already knew about Ellie so I don't know why some are making this an issue now. I do think this E3 overall seemed to be pandering a bit much to the "females are better" people though. Of course this was the E3 where that was going to happen, this is when all the games that started real development during the gamergate uproar are going to be ready to show.

I'm gay but I honestly don't really care a whole lot if a game has a gay character or not, while it's nice to feel included it's rare to play a game where the persons relationship status regardless of sexual orientation really matters. I do appreciate how some RPG's gives us the option to try to romance male or female characters though.

This SJW stuff needs to calm down though, pretty soon we are going to have another Anita Sarkeesian type out there complaining that there aren't any wheelchair bound transgendered black women who identify as Cambodian starring in games.

Video games are art and the creative process shouldn't be dictated by anything other than the creators imagination, they shouldn't start that process by feeling like they have to check off a bunch of boxes to make sure every gender, sexuality and ethnicity is represented proportionally.

I just wanna play the game...they need 2 keep the rainbow promoting out of games or make everyone happy and have a option to avoid it somehow.

I didn't have to watch it or need to click on the thread to know what it was about. I bet there's 100+ topics on gamefaqs about it. Those people need hit in the face with a kendo stick.

His logic seems to be that is forced because she kisses a girl in the trailer but would he think its forced if they put out an Uncharted trailer with Nathan kissing Elena? Probably not.

If Uncharted 4 ended with Nathan coming out of the closet and confessing his love for Sully now that would be forced.

It's not promoting by including it, she is a lesbian character and has been since the DLC. She is gay, there are gay people in the world and having one as a main character isn't shoving it down anyone's throat. The point of the game isn't that she's a lesbian, she's a woman who happens to be a lesbian trying to survive in this world that they've created and we are going to see how that plays out.

As I said I don't care much about characters sexual orientation in games but I also think people getting upset about someone being gay in a game are being ignorant.

Yeah she's a character that is gay and that's just part of who she is, it's not some agenda. They did it in a very realistic way, it's sad that they see two girls kissing in a game and get upset about it but don't mind all the killing and torture going on in the same demo lol. People have f***ed up priorities.

It all depends on how it's done, if they come out and have her lecture everyone about acceptance and start naming off statistics etc that's when it comes off as BS, this wasn't done that way at all, hell they handled it beautifully in TLOU DLC.

I think that director is very open about making it an agenda. Which I don't mind at all. I think that's where the butt hurt is coming from.

But I don't know what people expect. It's not like they can just put characters like that in the game and never be asked about it.

What I take issue with is his self-righteous stance that ND is the only one treating such issues with respect.

Dude that kiss was epic. All the subtle nuances in animation/mannerisms were mental, the way their lips reacted, heavy kiss it was, oh and those eyebrows.

Just passionate it was, felt real, like a real bond between two and not acted or stage, some movies or IRL kisses don’t even begin to come near as that kiss was.

I kinda wanna see someone make an anime recreation of that kiss just to see how over blown they could go.

The inclusion thing may be an agenda and yeah since we aren't used to seeing it some people are going to react but it's just sad that some react the way they do. I agree the people who act like they are better than everyone else for loving it are pretty obnoxious as well, people should just calm down on it all around and accept that games are art and someone actually created these characters and this is how they want the story to go. The creator wanted his character to be gay, there are gay people in the world so it shouldn't be a shock to see one in a game every once in a while.

Maybe one day we'll get to the point where these things aren't controversial.

Being a buyer...
I don't wanna see it and should have the option to avoid those types of scenes.
Is what I'm saying not giving a option with these types of things is forcing people who wanna buy the game to watch something they don't wanna see.
f***ed up tbh

I am feeling this post but those types of intimate scenes we(who are buying) should have the option to avoid.

You have the option. The option is to not buy the game. Same thing you would do if you found it too violent.

Should they include the option to remove the scene where Nathan kisses Elena in Uncharted 4?

“Press A/X to Skip Scene” is found in most games no?

If it’s a story driven game, then I’ll watch it the first time but then I’ll just skip to get right in to the action. Besides it’s just a kiss, it’s not some curse word or “no Russian” like moment.

Just don't buy the game, if it offends you that much. No one's forcing you to buy it.

Not gonna happen.

Buy it or don't.

I disagree simply because this is a story driven game and this is how they are choosing to tell the story. That isn't there just to be there, that is leading to something else, we saw a snippet of something that's going to be much bigger and likely to have some heavy storyline implications.

I have friends who didn't play the Witcher 3 because they have kids and didn't want them to see the sexual stuff, they didn't mind the decapitations and other dismemberment but sex is off the table for some reason lol.

I expected the lack of reading what I posted from you.

You know the answer I am going to give to the next question but I will entertain you anyway.
No they shouldn't remove Nathan kissing Elena(should have a option if its raunchy) and no they are not the same. :)

Both can be bad... but Sex is worse.

Why is it not the same?

Both can be bad... but Sex is worse.

Sex is natural, the thing is with TLOU2 that wasn't sex that was just two people kissing, sharing an intimate moment which likely means that it's setting up for one of them to be taken out to add some drama to the story. It just happens that Ellie is a lesbian, there is nothing wrong with that even if some overly religious or ignorant people want to push that agenda. If you find people doing what comes naturally to them to be offensive that's on you to deal with not anyone else, the creative minds behind that game have made the decisions about how they want to tell their story, you are totally free to not play it if it bothers you that much but they shouldn't have to offer a way to skip scenes that set up the story just because you have some kind of bias or prejudice. I would agree about allowing some sort of option to block nude body parts or a full sex scene but a kiss? c'mon get over yourself lol.
