Although it's unclear exactly which of Rockstar's franchises he's referring to, an employee of a Rockstar support studio has revealed work is being done on the "next version of a famous IP."
In a
Kotaku report, Internet sleuth superannuation discovered this on the
LinkedIn profile of a Rockstar New England staffer who was describing what Rockstar is at work on post-Grand Theft Auto V. The profile provides no further information as to the identity of the game.
Assuming it is a property of Rockstar's, there are a number of possibilities. Just last month, Rockstar boss Dan Houser shared his interest in
creating a new Bully game. Over the summer, a hint was dropped that Red Dead Redemption could eventually see a sequel when Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick described Red Dead as a
permanent franchise. And, despite the closure of developer Team Bondi, the possibility of a sequel to
L.A. Noire hasn't been ruled out.
