Has anyone bought Fast RMX? I want it but I'd like some impressions first.

I am really tempted on this one too. I have heard nothing but good things (though maybe not great) about it and the studio behind it.

If you are looking for local multiplayer go with Snipperclips for $20 over 1-2 Switch for $50. Snipperclips is a riot.

I only played a couple races. It seems solid. Nice art style, it runs well and controls well. There is a hook to the racing where you have to change your phase from yellow to blue or vice versa to get speed over certain parts of a track else you get slowed up, not sure how i feel about this yet. It also seems like its pretty tough.

I'll post more impressions when i can pull away from Zelda.

Well I bought Fast RMX, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove and Metal Slug 3 last night.

Between Zelda and Fast, I'm really impressed by the visuals this thing can put out.

"From what we understand, there is a small issue with the current firmware on Switch which causes a slight drain on GPU resources - once corrected, we're told that Fast RMX should sustain a full 1080p in docked mode"

To be fixed soon...

Once Nintendo rolls out the Switch Virtual console, I'll be set.

I hope they bring back all the consoles that they had on the Wii. I need my Genesis, Turbografx and Neo Geo stuff on Switch.

They have already put up a few old Neo Geo games on the eShop. I would like to be able to play a few of my old SNES/Gamecube/Wii games on the move but they would have to really be discounted or part of their paid online service. I am still wondering what they are going to offer to convince people to pay to play online with such a limited library of multi-player titles.

WSJ: Nintendo is selling way more Switches than it expected
It's doubling production to 16 million units for 2017.

Steve Dent

03.17.17 in AV

We already knew that the Switch was Nintendo's fastest-selling console ever, but we now have an idea as to how many units it's pushing out. The WSJ says Nintendo plans to double production from 8 million units to 16 million for its 2017 fiscal year (starting in April) in order to keep up with higher-than-expected sales.

But going forward, could Tegra X2 ever make its way into a Nintendo handheld? Well, the firm has a history of revising its mobile consoles with more powerful hardware mid-way through the generation. Tegra X2 still has 256 CUDA cores and it still features a quad-core arrangement of ARM Cortex-A57s - but it runs faster, has double the memory bandwidth and two bonus Denver CPU cores. A couple of years down the road, maybe we'll see an X2-powered 'New Nintendo Switch'. In the meantime, we've asked Nvidia and Nintendo for comment on Tech Insight's findings and will update with any response.

If this turns out to be true, and Nintendo keeps pumping out the gems, I'll so be on board!

There is no design issue with the Joy-Con controllers, and no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort is underway. A manufacturing variation has resulted in wireless interference with a small number of the left Joy-Con. Moving forward this will not be an issue, as the manufacturing variation has been addressed and corrected at the factory level.

We have determined a simple fix can be made to any affected Joy-Con to improve connectivity.

There are other reasons consumers may be experiencing wireless interference. We are asking consumers to contact our customer support team so we can help them determine if a repair is necessary. If it is, consumers can send their controller directly to Nintendo for the adjustment, free of charge, with an anticipated quick return of less than a week. Repair timing may vary by region. Conductive foam shoved into it somewhere is the fix, apparently.

But remember... It's NOT a design fault.

Has there ever been as much pressure to hit a homerun as there was with this game? As it is the Switch is killing it in sales with tremendous momentum and a launch game lauded as one of the best of all time. If Zelda turned out to be even just an 8/10 (collectively) things could be drastically different.

Neo Turf Masters being added to the Switch tomorrow. I hear it's the best golf game of all time?

Interesting. I thought I had played every golf game known to man but somehow this one completely slipped by me. I hadn't even heard of it much less being "the best of all time"? That said, I watched a couple youtube videos and it looks really solid and certainly ahead of it's time back then. I will pick this one up just to check out what I missed.

Are they becoming more widely available? Haven't checked, but last time I did couldn't get one anywhere.
As of yesterday if you actually physically go to Gamestop they were allowing people to place orders for bundles that included:

Switch Console
Zelda
SnipperClips
Has Been Heroes OR Shovel Knight

$460

With free shipping arrives next week to my house, but I also had the option to pay $26 for one day shipping to receive today or tomorrow (may vary by location).

Loving my system. It's underpowered, sure. I really don't care. It's literally perfect for my current needs.

So I ended up getting Turf Masters this weekend and it is an amazingly awesome addictive take on golf. I haven't played all parts of it yet but I can tell you right now just winning a tournament on 1 credit is going to take some practice. I like that the mechanics and courses are completely doable but keeping it together for 18 holes is a real challenge.

If you enjoy video golf then this is a slam dunk for you to buy @ $7.99.
