So I finally got on board with it and managed to find stock!
Zelda is amazing, it's genuinely one of the best games I've played, I find myself more addicted to this than anything on my Xbox One....could be new buyers syndrome but I don't care!
Screen protector, carry case, a pro controller and a 128gb SD card and I'm set until Mario Kart 8 arrives....as well as being totally broke but dammit it's worth it!!!!

That laptop bag is great, the individual carry case you get for the switch is very good and protective but there are no game case holders.

This case isn't as hard but it fits nicely in and the best thing about this is there's a stand built into the stand which works great and also room for 5 game cartridges, you can't fit much else in there, I have a cloth for the screen in the netting area.
I brought both as the messenger bag is great for taking the Switch to a friends and also gives me a backup switch case.
Why is this thread so dead? Console must be an absolute failure. Time to go third party already. Fool me once, shame on you Nintendo. Fool me twice, shame on me. Not falling for the Switch hype.
I agree. If it wasent for Zelda the launch would be a huge bust.
Its a tight little system but with only 3 must have titles in the first year and the rest mostly junk Im getting Wii vibes all over again.
It's sad that the Kinect thread has more traffic.
I'm loving the Switch though. I haven't turn on the Pro since I got it.
I'm too busy playing Zelda! I absolutely love this unit I haven't played on my XB1 since buying this, Zelda is fantastic!
Exactly. Looks like a neat system, though, until it gets more games I'm holding off.
Mine is arriving today, but this is absolutely a secondary kid system. I'm buying it for Zelda, and to play Mario Kart/Splatoon with the kids.
I think a lot of people buying the system see that screen detaching is a genius way to allow your kids to play games without having dueling tvs going! Can't wait to be able to watch a movie without their tv competing!
They should throw out some ports of Wii games like Smash Bros at a reduced price to keep the momentum this year of games. While working on more expansive ones for later.

The lack of games hasn't hurt my opinion of the system yet.
Zelda is deep as hell and I'm not very far into it. Shovel Knight collection is keeping me busy as well since it's hard as nails. Fast is a game that I'm slowly advancing in.
I'm probably going to get a couple of decent platformers in Snake Pass and Yooka-Laylee pretty soon that seem perfect for the system.
So I'll have enough to keep me busy for a while.

Theres a part of me that really wants to grab a switch for Zelda and the Portable/docked/joycon charging controller are really awesome ideas but theres just too many black marks againest the system that scream rushed launch for me to spend the money.

Just wait till the fall.
At that time, more games are out, there should be deals as MS, Sony and Ninty will be hitting each other over the head with BF and Xmas deals, and most importantly of all, some of these issues with the system quality may be solved by then with improved manufacturing tweaks.
You're not missing out by not playing Zelda at launch. It'll be cheaper later in the year and it's a SP game so it's not like you have to worry about online community numbers to keep a game (like a shooter or sports) active.
Also, at that time, you'll be able to read up how good or bad the OS and online is, since Ninty wants to charge for online later in the year.
If you're worried about manufacturing quality, then get it at Costco. Their indefinite warranty period applies to gaming consoles.

Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Mario Odyssey and widely rumored ports of Smash and Mario Maker..
Alongside some indie hits in FAST, Graceful Explosion Machine, Shovel Knight, Snake Pass, Snipperclips, and other miscellaneous titles coming..
It's really not a bad launch year at all.

Not exactly the same as it's not be revealed yet. The switch topic was busy around this time as well and up till and shortly after launch
Apart from Zelda it doesn't have games worth talking about.
Not really applicable, as Scorpio has the entire Xbox One Library as well as a huge chunk of the 360s. Huge gap, and a massive benefit of the death of "generations"
To be fair, this might have all been true if Zelda turned out to be a 7/10 instead of a 10/10.
