Ever sat on your bag and had it fall asleep? It's a very strange sensation. Your balls kind of ache but there's a tingly sensation that's kind of pleasurable at the same time.

I got an SMS from the garage the is doing my car service & inspection. Says my tires were assemblied wrongly, & spring is damage & ....the end of the day, cost 2500€. Thats not including the original price of the servicing.

No mood to work after hearing the news. After trying so hard to save money, this kind of sh#t happened.

Edit: Turned out teh workshop that changed my tires put the rear wheels (which is wider) in front causing teh damage. How can a workshop where changing tires is their damn job make such a mistake. I hope to get come compensation but I am not holding my breath

I am a strong believer that some things are best kept to oneself.

I just had to have a tree cut down that cost 1600 bucks. I had to take the cat to the vet for 140 bucks. I had to pay 700 bucks for escrow for the house or else the payment would shoot up a lot. And that's just a few of the unexpected things I've had to deal with in the last few months. It happens.

I would've cut the tree down for $50, but your property wouldn't have been insured if I felled it wrong. :meh:

Why the hell do people feel the need to record themselves watching a video of something and post it on youtube? I want this type of activity to stop.

These are a weird guilty pleasure for me to watch; I'm not sure why. Mostly when new movie trailers drop that I'm hyped for.

I also think it's funny to see people horrified or freakout like when Mortal Kombat X was first released and reaction videos to the new Fatalities were put out.

SIgh, bad news keep coming. After being told it cost 2500€ to repair my car, I was told it was a mistake in price, & it cost actually 4000€. No holidays tours or any major purchase for me for a while now...

Still trying to wrap my head around how anybody could put staggered tires on the wrong way.

There were limbs on this tree 20 feet long and a foot thick. The trunk itself was too big to even get your arms around. Plus, it was taller than a two story house. It took a team of guys like 3 days to do it. They had to cut the limbs out before even thinking about getting the trunk down.

Is there any warranty or recall on it? Not sure how Recalls work over there.
Do you refer to my situation? It was done by a small workshop. I thought someone with self-proclaimed 20 years of workshop experience, & advertise on the tire change. will not need to be explained that cars can come with different profile tires. I didn't even ask for a receipt because I thought it was a simple job, & I am a customer for 5-6 years. (Its a law in Germany to change between Winter/Summer tires in the appropriate time).

So why don't you do it myself? Well because I am lazy & think 15€ is a small price for a tire change.

I can understand if it's done by some kids. I am trying to see if I can build a legal case, but I am not holding my breath. He went to the BMW dealer & saw the car himself. He said he would repair the tires, but not pay for new ones. The BMW dealer said he can't guarantee safety if the tires are not new. & Because my car is all wheel drive, I have to change all 4 tires, as the wear of the existing tires (that doesn't need to be changed) must not be more than 3mm than the new ones (which wouldn't be as the tires are about 2 years old) which are the BMW official safety requirements. & BMW can void my warranty if my car wasn't within their recommendations.

It was rubbing internally, & there is rubber residue inside the car well.

I hate spending money, especially like this, but I don't want to compromise safety, & also warranty. Guess I need to suck it up.

I figured at that price they were probably climbing the tree and lowering down individual branches as they cut them. I had to have the same thing done 15 years ago for $700. I saved money by dropping the 3' wide by 25'+ tall trunk down myself and sold the firewood from it to make some of the $ back.

That's pretty terrible to have that much damage to pay for over a simple tire change. There's nothing really lazy about not changing your tires. It's not like you could do that yourself if you don't have the equipment to remove and install tires from wheels and have them balanced.

I've never had a vehicle as expensive as yours, but I've had really bad things happen with vehicles that incompetent mechanics worked on over the years and I was beyond pissed. I haven't let anyone work on any vehicles I've owned in nearly 20 years unless it needs new tires or it needs worked on because of a recall.

Hopefully you can sue whoever worked on your car and at least get some of your money back.

$4000 repair to my car I'd be looking for a new car.
I have ones of these M model, so price are a bit inflated. I had some medical complication a while ago (okay now), & figured that life is short, & you never know what will happen tomorrow, so I bought myself a new car that is probably too fast for me.

I am normally quite converative on spending. I bought like the cheapest keyboard to save like 10 bucks, my phone acted as my camera, & I barely buy anything until they are spoiled.

However, the silverling is, due to this small event, I reconfirmed how supportive my friends & collegues are, in helping me. And I am also very appreciative of the support I get here. In the end, its only money. I can earn back. No biggy.

Sound fair for the amount of work.

I once accidentally left the keys in the other side of the door & locked myself of my own home. I have a spare key at my neighbor but it didn't help as theer was a key stucked on the other side. Called a locksmith & he came, spend like 1 mins poking something into teh keyhole until the key on the other side drops. I was like, damn, I could have done it myself. Paid 150€ for the 1 min job & his travel.

I think MR. X's neighbors would use grenades.
A barrage of 7.62mm wil do the job as well. Actually grenades will just left some small holes on the trees. Hollywood has exaggerated the impact of hand grenade, nor does it has produce fireball you see in movies.

Now if you are talking about C4, then its a different story.

I didn't necessarily mean it would work or be effective. Just sayin they would probably try grenades.

Or absurdly large caliber gun.

My driver manager / dispatcher called me and left a voicemail saying they tried to call and could I call them back. Why do people still play Phone Tag? Just send me an email or a text.

I know you are joking. But my experience in my days in the Army sometimes give me the itch to correct 'misinformation' on the military stuff. :tounge:

My brother, who is 22, lost his car keys and his debit card. That boy had two spare car keys and no clue where they were. Cost around 150 bucks for him to get a new key made. He is notoriously bad at keeping up with his stuff because he doesn't know how to take care of anything. Like he leaves his game discs out.......on top of the cases.

I forget to bring my company card (which I need to access most doors, & paid for lunch at Cafeteria) regularly.

Anyway, something more lighthearted.

There was a Training for a computer software, & the Trainer wrote in the invitation. Please remember to bring your notebooks.

So, on that day. I bought my notebook & pen, & everyone else brought their notebook....PC. Sometimes, I feel like the dumbest person in the world.
