Official Thread The Switch Thread

Cool. I actually ordered one of these. People say they are good. We will see, I've never backed anything on Kickstarter before.

Well my Grip case arrived a couple days ago and I really like it. I played BOTW for an hour and my hands didn't cramp at all.

Highly recommend this or something like it if you find your hands hurting while playing in handheld mode.

Wow at those Switch, Mario, and Zelda numbers.

The Nintendo Switch's Online Service Will Launch In September

Nintendo Switch Online, the console’s long-delayed premium monthly subscription service, will finally launch in September 2018, the company just announced.

The service, originally supposed to launch last year, will cost $20 a year, which will allow users to play Switch games online (they are only free until the service launches).

Subscribers will also get access to classic Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario.

There will also be short-term subscription offers, like one month for $4 or three months for $8.

For as much as Nintendo gets right, I feel like this will be a s***show. No real hard evidence to prove it, just a feeling.

I think you have every right to believe it, Nintendo has historically had abysmal Online Multiplayer support.

They teased that the "next reveal" of Nintendo Switch online will be something great, so it makes me wonder what they'll show

Super Bomberman R being the one game with a case spline that isn't just the title of the game in white standard font is killing my OCD.

Took the plunge and got my Switch today. My god the UI and Store is gash....however Zelda is a thing of beauty. Love the hardware and the feel of it. Going to be gaming on this in my spare time and playing exclusives....Managed to pick up the Grey Switch for £190 from GAME due to promotions, GAME Elite discount and balance in my 'wallet' and Zelda for £50

Reactions: The Living Tribunal
I played the demo for Kirby Star Allies today. I feel Nintendo may have another million seller on their hands. Especially with the younger demographic.

I saw that on the store. Was meaning to try it out.
So it is pretty good then eh?

It pretty fun in my estimation. I can potentially see where the game might get repetitive but its so colorful and whimsical. I just got this feeling that its going to be a hit with the kids.

I'm in for Octopath Traveler, that game was pretty decent from the demo I tried.

That and Hollow Knight will be my next Switch purchases from the looks of it.

Yeah, I think it's a great product with fantastic first party software but the screen should've been an oled tbh, if not then at least a screen with more punch. Playing on my Samsung lcd TV (2016 4k hdr) and going to portable mode is not a great experience, and it should look better considering 720-900p on a 4k 65" TV isn't really optimal because of all the scaling and low res.
Still, have had a great time with it since I bought it a year ago, no regrets.

OLED have burn in no thx.

It's not common though. Cousin plays almost exclusively on his galaxy phone, had it for about 2 years, no burn in. But yeah, it's possible in theory. Original ps vita was oled I think.... Haven't googled around but don't think they had any major problems?

I’ve had my OLED TV for over 2 years no burn in. They are hands down the best, getting a bigger OLED soon.

I am pretty late about this, but for those if you that must have wired Ethernet connectivity for your Switch, do not buy the overpriced Hori/official LAN adapter.

Here is a USB 3.0 adapter that is 1Gbps for 14 bucks that works, this is the one I own and it is plug and play.

This one will also work on the Switch, and it will also work on Wii and Wii U for 10 dollars, USB 2.0 and 10/100 Mbps. Also plug and play.

Its very common and start to show internet wide.
Speaking of Switch.... look up Zelda burn in issues with OLED.
