The Wrestling Topic

Yeah, WWE is in it for the money. Word is it's a $200 million deal for the next 10 years too. So buckle up, it's gonna be a long ride with the Saudis.

Glorified house shows are fun. I was pretty surprised the only title change was the Raw Tag Titles, glad Deleters of Worlds won, but seeing the Raw Titles on Smackdown would have been great.

Strowman winning the GRR was the right call, as was having DB eliminated by Big Cass. Made me hate him.

Also, give me a Roddy vs Daniel Bryan match ASAP. Those chops oof

Apparently two of the prince's demands were WWE book Warrior and Yokozuna in the rumble match......

I thought for sure we were gonna see a new Universal Champion just based on the event and the WWE wanting a major title change there.

So I came back for WM34, and watching GRR and Backlash made me feel like I'm not that interested in WWE's product, despite the great midcard. I enjoyed the Network, and I might go back every now and then to see certain shows (Camp WWE or a hyped PPV), but Backlash just left me bored. Rollins vs Miz was good and match of the night, and AJ vs Nakamura put a much better performance than their last two big matches. After that match, I realized there were still two matches and I cared for neither of them. So I went to bed. Once that WWE Championship match is done, you better have a highly anticipated match or at least one more title match.

Once I heard they were doing the co-branded ppvs, I knew they were gonna suck ass for the most part. You got a huge roster with opportunities to make diverse and unique matches. Yet it gets ruined by just stuffing all the stars in at last minute.

Damn, I was thinking about going to this show too. Didn't think they'd sell it out like that TBH, but it's an awesome achievement for sure. Hopefully this goes a long way for fueling a more healthy wrestling industry.

I have no idea how that Ring of Honor garbage gets televised. Everything about it is awful.

The best part about it is when they throw all the toilet paper into the ring in attempts to clean up the crap standing in it.

I wonder how much money they make wrestling there?

This whole trial between Amann and Punk/Cabana is the most entertaining thing in wrestling right now.

Amann seems screwed. He's trying to say he's suffered damages from the podcast Punk did after leaving WWE, but he's been employed by WWE and this whole case is being funded by them apparently. Now WWE is going to end up paying all of the court fees for Punk and Cabana. Who knows if he'll have a job after this.

Still remember this from when I saw it on TV WAAAAY back, Rikishi doing a splash from the top rope to the floor when he was part of the SST in WCW.

shinsuke nakamura out with a leg injury after suffering a bite from a police sniffer dog

Rumor going around that unofficial talks are happening behind the scenes about potentially making Matt Cappotelli the next recipient of the Warrior Award. It'd be a nice way to highlight his wrestling career, position as a trainer in OVW, and life in general.

Pentagon Jr looking like a psychopath.

Pentagon and Sami Callihan destroying each other and getting me excited for their Hair vs Mask match at Slammiversary.

So now they are pushing Lashley? I don't get it, yeah the guy looks great but has zero personality and his ring work is well below that of Reigns. They should be pushing Rollins, Elias and Strowman more towards the title.

It seems like nearly everyone they bring up from NXT flops, why do they bring them up in groups? they need to actually have something for them to do before taking them out. I don't have the network but the NXT clips I see online it look like it's a lot better than most of the main roster stuff. Then again the crowd seems more into the matches and less into themselves in the clips as well.
