The Xbox One Hardware Information Thread

How the heck do I manage save files and check out everything that's on my hard drive, including available space? I'm baffled.

You cant at the moment, but can check whats installed and uninstall games & apps if you like. Go to your games & apps and select a game and press the menu button and select uninstall. People have been asking for a file viewer so hopefully MS will do it.
 
Wow, OK, thanks. Seems like a major oversight to me. Literally my only complaint about the system so far.
 
The storage system needs work. I hate not knowing how much space I have left/free. I have heard* that once the X1 reaches the storage limit it will start going through installed games that are older and delete them, or deleting certain files that you no longer need. Example, if on Ryse you are on level 3 it will delete levels 1-2, or deletes 5-8 and will start installing them as you are playing. This is just a post I found on Neogaf and reddit, not sure how true it is. But yeah the storage management needs a lot of work.

I'd rather them focus on the party chat first and optimizing the OS.
 
Yeah the storage options need to come for sure, but I just want to ask what are some people possibly doing where this is important 2 weeks after launch? If anyone is actually concerned that they are going to fill up their 500GB already then I'm seriously impressed on how much you've fit in in less than 3 weeks.
