Especially since Sony's already shown their full retail Snap functionality (and it won't even need that day one update to be unlocked).

Precisely. And it's a courtesy to respond to people and organizations that have valid concerns whenever possible, but when certain perpetual turdgherkins keep on saying ridiculous nonsense and they keep being shown to be false, I'm not going to fault MS for not bothering to acknowledge them further.
You know whats funny. No one is in disbelief when it comes to Sony or the Ps4. But many, MANY are in disbelief when it comes to the X1 and those who actually can speak for it with credibility. I'm getting a Ps4 next year but, it just tells me that Sony isnt bringing anything to the table thats innovative forward thinking....at all.

Oh yes, I agree in theory silence could been admission, but at the same time it could mean denial. We all tend to ignore the people who talk BS or spread BS or just in general cause disruption and trouble on purpose, I don't see why a corporation couldn't do the same thing, especially in the current circumstances. When gamers s*** on you no matter what you say, positive or negative, I could see how one would just keep their mouth shut. Better to remain silent and appear a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Because he used to read b3d and post info from real insiders then report them on gaf as his own. Now he just makes stuff up.
In one thread I read he isn't, or at least the people were slamming him hard for parroting other people's rumours.

He is doing PR. You think most PR is rooted in complete honesty? If so, I have a bridge to sell you -- just paved too. But that isn't my issue. What I have a problem with is the doublespeak. There are simple and direct ways to answer simple and direct questions and when they don't or can't and use evasive language, I am always suspicious or take what they are saying with a grain of salt. Albert hedges here. This industry is chock full of PR and devlopers and companies that over promise and under deliver generation after generation.

I ask because if these guys were shown to be making false claims it'd be evident everywhere wouldn't it?
From where I stand, it's just a matter of whom to believe right now, Microsoft/Sony employees or a bunch of keyboard and mouse users from the internet... Neither are truly satisfying me at the moment.

You'd have to ask the people who follow GAF. I don't and don't care to, but I've seen enough post-mortems of their predictions that I'm quite comfortable with dismissing those "sources" until sites with a modicum of credibility actually report these rumors, especially when they're as farfetched as Snap causing game crashes.
I haven't seen anyone prove any rumors false. I have seen a lot of them say they were proven to be false. I haven't seen anything substantive demonstrating that. I would love to.

Microsoft has received a s*** storm of flak for being truthful and from surrounding rumors already. This is without the console even being released yet. Does it make any sense WHAT. SO. EVER. that they would risk all that, and then LIE? Are you serious?!

You've noticed it, too, that for a lot of Sony and/or anti-MS fanboys, it's just so supremely important to them for Sony to win the generation before the consoles even launch. It was over at E3, it's over because of those yield issues and downclocks they'd cause, because of the NES-caliber graphics of the XB1, because of TVTVTVKINECTSPORTS, because of QTEs or whatever else has become the canard du jour. It's a shame that they think so little of what Sony is doing that they wrap up their enjoyment of the next gen of console gaming in campaigning for the crashing and burning of MS. I dunno. I'd like to think they'd be excited about KillZone or Knack or...

Its not that we refuse to accept PS4"might" have better graphics. Its that we don't believe that the X1 is going to be a tiny bit better than the 360. Have you seen the rumors going around? If you believe the rumors than that's on you. Basically everything the X1 dies has been brought into question.Including Live is going to be worse than psplus is right now. MAYBE if the X1 wasn't being portrayed as the worst console ever. We might believe some rumors. My personal favorite that I heard on this site the Kinect will need batteries. I mean run down the lust of rumors if you can point out one thing the X1 does that hasn't been part of a crazy rumor. I will personally go through and give a like to everyone of your posts.

I have even come across sony fanboys who think that a monopoly by sony would be good for gamers, better diverse games because only one platform devs have to work for, no costly ports lol wth.

Maybe you should step away from the keyboard. You seem way to personally invested in your large multinational corporation of choice. What exactly were they so truthful about and what exactly are you trying to point out here? It wasn't clear.
I'm surprised they haven't found a way to link Xbox One to terrorists and prostate cancer yet. Maybe that is CBOATS esram news?

And people like Albert Penello has been a lot more patient with the members of GAF than, IMO, he should be. I'm surprised he even tries with them

in the long run, its the moms and pops, who will be making those decisions
based on what they experience not hear about from a very biased source as gaf is..
and from what I hear the xbox wins.. cause it is different,
the ps4, just more of the same
hardcore gamers may buy the consoles out of the gate, but its the long haul that counts
its a race, not a sprint
and I will never justify rumors or gossip by repeating it

How the hell did you get emotionally invested out of my comment mate? You make no sense in your statement whatsoever. The man said YES! it works the way you see it in the video. But because he didnt state it the way you thought he should have, he's like, leaving room for assumption and insulting you. Unbelievable.
As far as what they were truthful about; Think back to the reveal and E3. Then think about the flak they've received since then. Its not very difficult. f*** all! Why the hell would he risk himself or his company and blatantly lie about how the UI functions?! Especially when Sony groupies are so willing to pounce on anything positive about the Xbox One. A Lie would send them right over the falls.
I'm not emotionally invested, I'm mortified by the lack of basic, essential common sense and how irrational Sony groupies can be.

home address I have no idea. Birthdate I suspect for legal reasons, like they can't do certain things with your info if you are under a certain age?
