The legacy dashboards, no. Not for animated backgrounds to work. All other themes work. I'm still waiting on the new dash myself. Guess you have to have the new dash for animated.

I found a Recore background. Its fuking awesome. You can also save your favorites.

I got the new dashboard too. Animated backgrounds don't work for me. Not sure there's a setting for it.
