It's being made by Platinum Games.

They made Bayonetta, Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the core gameplay mechanics aren't going to be conversation trees and morally ambiguous decisions from Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

I really like seeing cell shaded games pull off a good pseudo Cell Animation look. I had a lot of fun pulling off insane attacks in the Naruto fighting games and I'd like to see more cartoons or animes adapted this way.

Hell, even a game like Mortal Kombat would be f***ing cool like this. If this Transformers game succeeds, how about some f***in' Voltron bitch?

Best Buy Canada has product pages for X1 and PS4.

Another case of retailers messing up coordinating product promotion.

Let's face it, the developer has been making the game for years and every key retailer knows about it. No different than Future Shop and Best Buy Canada also having X1 product pages for Diablo 3 when X1 version wasn't even announced yet.

Surprisingly, the D3 pages were left up there forever (I think) or at least a long time. I don't think they ever took it down, while other places like Amazon and US stores never posted it. It was basically a year long pre-order page. I guess nobody cared to check and get Canadian stores to adjust their online listings.

Makes me think of Robotech: Battlecry on the OG Xbox... which I really liked. I wish this style was used more.
