I can actually buy this.

I actually have no idea why I challenged your original notion.

I do. I think you do have a tendency toward devil's advocacy (sometimes when it's not necessary, imo). I do this sometimes myself. You don't want to just accept un-backed declarations. It's a bit knee-jerk, but I tend to agree with his point as well, but that's more for the same reasons he listed, as you acknowledge as well.

I'm suprised no love for no mans sky that game looks awesome it should be a choice.

Don't have a release date yet. I'm assuming 2016. I don't see it as a GOTY contender, personally. Indie GOTY, maybe.

Things would go more smoothly if everyone just accepted everything I said without question.

I'll go with The Witcher 3. Even if Fallout 4 tops it i think TW3 coming out earlier helps its case because more people will have played it. Batman: AK is my personal GOTY right now though. I'm loving it.

Toss up between W3 and F4. I'll go with F4.

W3 has tons of free DLC which is good, but also a ton of patches which is bad.

Predicting Halo 5' metacritic: Between an 86 and 89.

Predicting No Man's Sky's metacritic: Between a 60 and 94.
That's not bad, really. That's around what the new Batman got.

I'm going to be a fanboy and Predict 92!

So far, the poll is:

1. Witcher 3
2. Fallout 4
3. Halo 5

Seems reasonable, though I'd swap #1 and #2.

Way to loose of a prediction.Tighten that chit up
I think that's pretty reasonable. It seems like it will be one of those love/hate it games. If done right it could be a great hit, but a lot can go wrong with a game that relies so heavily on procedurally generated content. I've watched a few of the IGN first vids, and I end up with more questions than answers. It could end up horribly boring if it can't consistently deliver unique enough experiences. It's a huge universe. I look at it as a sort of simplified Elite Dangerous. Of course in ED, you can't got to the surface (yet) but I think ED uses real NASA data, so it kinda has an edge with those who like Hard sci-fi. It seems like it could go either way to me.

It does look awesome, but it will not win GOTY in 2016. I can see a lot of gamers on forums choosing it for their personal GOTY, though.

Id say Fallout 4 for my retail game and Submerged as my digital download.

Oh.... and list of games is to short, there are many more.

I think ultimately The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 will win. My gut says Fallout 4. MGSV is still a huge contender to me as well.

Not only is it short, it has single format games in it.

Stupid poll really.

Polls can only contain ten choices, so "too short" isn't a meaningful criticism. And I don't see why single-format games should be excluded from a GOTY poll.
