Hey guys, I saw this Video on Youtube and it is chock full of really awesome looking games that aren't your typical 3d graphics monsters. They take the Pixel art beyond what you typically see in Indie games. They all look to be at least on par with Hyper Light Drifter, imo, and I am actually excited about a number of them.

How do you guys feel about these games? Any others that should be on the Radar?

I'm really looking for these deeper, visually interesting games with great animation. I need to get a break from the AAA games, I think.

Some pretty interesting stuff in there. Particularly Children of Morta, Eitr, Death's Gambit, Blasphemous, and the Last Night.

Those are exactly the ones that caught my interest the most

Yeah, Children of Morta and The Last Night's visuals and atmosphere look amazing. The others look dark, but bring their own unique elements. Some of the art for Deaths Gambit reminds me of Hyper Light Drifter's cutscenes for some reason.

Found this one a yesterday. Kynseed.

From two ex-Lionhead Studios devs, the game seems to be something along the lines of a sim-type, like Stardew Valley, but more along the lines of things you would expect from Fable (i'm not sure about magic/combat), they even have the composer from Fable supplying the music which all sounds great so far. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a console version of the game in the works at the moment that I know about. They do have a demo up on their site and a ton more info if you guys want to check it out:

What!? No battle? What do you do in it? Kinda makes me think of those old PC RPGs. Thst last bit was kinda funny though!

No, you can definitely battle get weapons, loot etc etc. I'm just not sure if it's as extensive with the systems as Fable.

Now that's more like it! Sundered in particular!

I'll allow it because there is still fantastic 2d art and style ;) like Ori. That last light game uses 3d as well.
