Xb1 dpad is fsr worse than 360? Are you serious man? I mean every has their opinion but I just dont understand yours. And why on earth would anyone want to use a ds3 or ds4 over an xbox co troller?
I think he was talking to PlainviewI never said the X1's is worse than the 360's. I SAID I'd like to use my 360 pad with the changeable d-pad (since I love using it). I've had no experience with the X1 pad.

It's a POS. It's the worst fighting d-pad I ever used. Even a 360 d-pad unshaved is better. A shaved 360 d-pad is superior for fighting games and that's pretty bad.Xb1 dpad is fsr worse than 360? It's impossible for me to do a dragon punch movement. If I do it very deliberately it comes out.I haven't had any issues with mine; it seems to accept inputs as expected.

That makes it completely worthless for fighting games.Yeah, I caught on very quickly that it is not about speed of input, but instead about deliberate and precise inputs for the desired moves. At least, that is what my experience has been thus far.

This is going by playing Street Fighter for nearly two decades, not just SF4. I had trouble with the dpad on the 360 until I shaved it. It became better. Not perfect but better. I'm seriously considering a fight stick IF i can change the stick to a cone/ball that doesn't rotate. I can't use a rotating ball sick. I use friction to pull of moves, not a rotating ball.@BOLD That is supposed to happen. If you are used to SF4 on the Xbox 360 as your comparison for a dragon punch input then that is you problem. In SF4 CAPCOM instituted a short cut so you could technically do a dragon punch by tapping 'DF, DF' twice with punch.
Made it easier for new people to get into the game.
I've been playing Street Fighter just as long as you and have had no need to shave the rim of the dpad to be able to use it effectively. Once you learn where the neutral is the moves come out smooth.
The ball will always spin, but not the battop (it will as it becomes more lose). I used a battop for a few years but recently went back to the ball top since for me, it allows a more relaxed feel with the stick.
Thats what you want.
Cone = Balltop. The more you know! Now, when I get a stick when SF4ish drops on Xbox One, I'll know what exactly to order. I can't see myself shelling out $200 just to play KI with a stick.
