A few new screenshots for WiLD, the upcoming PlayStation 4 title from Wild Sheep Studio, have a been released.

The game from the new studio co-founded by Rayman creator Michael Ancel was announced as an online survival adventure game during the Sony conference at Gamescom 2014.

Set 10,000 years ago, the game allows you to play as either an animal or human and features a dynamic environment the size of Europe “filled with interactive opportunities.”

“Every time you play you’ll discover new things, even in the same place as before,” said Ancel during the conference. “But the best feature came from our prototyping phase when we started playing as wolves, horses, sheep and… even trout.”

Hadn't heard of it until now. Looks good. Probably several years before we see it.

Those pics just look like grabs from the trailer but the trailer was awesome so I'll let it pass lol.

It looks okay visually. The animal hair is not quite as impressive as what I have seen in Far Cry 4 screenshots albeit unfair to compare this game to a huge AAA title. I'm still curious as to what the actual gameplay will look like.

Remind me of an OG Xbox game BC that never got released.

FC4 animal fur looks really weird when you get close.

Isn't this an online only game? That would hinder the visuals a bit. Having said that, it does look pretty nice, IMO.

Yeah I'm sure online things affect that, but even games like Shadow of the Colossus had good looking hair on the beasts. The issue is that this game here makes it look like they are wearing a transparent fleece, and it is a tad too noticeable.

A game with this level of scale and ambition, the last thing I'm concerned about is fur fidelity.

I adore the art style and concept! Is this mmo? I hope they get the ballance of scope and tight gameplay right!

This game makes me want a ps4!
