VG 24/7: Ubisoft teases new AAA game, announcement coming later this year

There’s a new game in development at Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft, but we’ll be waiting a while to find out more.


Ubisoft has announced during its earnings call last night that a new AAA game is in the works and is due for a reveal later this year.

The game will not be announced at E3 2015, strangely enough, according to a company representative speaking to Gamespot. Instead, an announcement will be made in the fall.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot declined to comment on whether or not the game is a sequel or an entirely new IP. However, he did refer to it as a “franchise” elsewhere in the call.

Whatever it is, it’s positioned for release during this fiscal year, which ends April 2016.

Ubisoft need to back the f'up and start thinking more about quality rather than quantity.
 
It'll be some open world fetch quest, ping the towers to reveal the map game. They'll reveal it and the graphics will be amazeballs, and everyone will talk about how they're so hyped for it.

One Direction: Ass' Bro'hood confirmed!

Realistically... I hope its something like Beyond good and evil.

But I do NOT want am open world game. Its becoming expected, and stale. Fill a map with s***loads of stuff, and no matter what skin tou paste on it, after 20 of the same thing, it makes FFXIII look innovative.

Only of they bring back Ironsides and take spies vs mercs back to its roots.

If Ironsides won't do it, at least try to make Sam Fisher feel like Sam Fisher and not generic solider number 5,629.

Ironsides? Wait...that was single player stuff right? Lol

I will suck any and all Spies v Mercs dick they give me. Naturally, I'd want it to be a next gen Chaos Theory type but I'll take what I can get.
 
Haven't seen AAA and ubi in the same sentence in a long time.
Prob Splinter cell zzzzz (unless its like the last) Watch Dogs 2 more zzzzz

Ghost Recon and I will be very happy.
