There’s a new game in development at Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft, but we’ll be waiting a while to find out more.
Ubisoft has announced during its earnings call last night that a new AAA game is in the works and is due for a reveal later this year.
The game will not be announced at E3 2015, strangely enough, according to a company representative speaking to Gamespot. Instead, an announcement will be made in the fall.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot declined to comment on whether or not the game is a sequel or an entirely new IP. However, he did refer to it as a “franchise” elsewhere in the call.
Whatever it is, it’s positioned for release during this fiscal year, which ends April 2016.
