Voodoo Vince Remaster

Spent half an hour with this and it is so bland and boring in play.

Camera is mostly ok with control generally good. But..... past it's sellbuy date.
 
Well hopefully now that Phil got that out of his system we'll get a MechAssault remaster or something now. Ya know, something the fans actually want.

Haven't played in a while, but the game does get better as it goes on.

the problem is, it needs to be good out the gate so that I don't want to put down. it's absolutely pointless being better after the point I'm past caring.

Not saying that I disagree with you (Ive never spent more than an hour or two playing Dark souls. Enough for me to know I hate it, and what it stands for) but at the end of the day, it's a platformer.

And a charming one at that.

The caveats you'll find with it will apply to all platformers, and will probably explain the critiques to Yooka Laylee, and why the genre died in the ass.

It's similar to the Psychonauts re-release. Some aspect don't age well. Add a decade onto that, and it's just grim.

And yet i like Yooka (camera problems aside).
