Just figured I would post this. The game just has the framerate unlock as to allow it to hit that 60fps mark, but it rarely does once the action starts. But the good news is that you can turn off the motion blur effects if you really want that solid 60fps. Otherwise, you can still play the game with it hitting 30fps on most occasions with the occasionally dip every now and then. And the textures are low res. I personally got kind of disappointed from this.

I think warframe sucks anyway. I played it on pc a while ago and every mission I played had the same exact environments that were boring as hell. Along with the same enemies in every single boring ass environment. It seemed really low budget to me.

That's my impression after playing it at E3.

From the small amount of time I played it, it seemed 60fps and it looked like the pc version..
I need to play it more though and sucks if true :-\

If you didn't notice, then why does it matter? If it felt smooth to you while playing, then that is good enough. Enjoy the game for the experience, not the technical.

So it is 60fps when there is no motion blur, but something lesser than 60fps when motion blur is enabled?

I don't know if it's 60fps without motion blur, but the framrate is definitely a lot higher

Like some other games with sketchy frame rate claims, looks like PS4 Warframe is another. An old article had the dev saying they are targeting 60 fps or trying to lock at 60 fps. Well, I guess it is true... some of the time. I don't think he ever said it would be 60 fps all the time.

As someone said on GAF, all these frame rate claims the past year are marketing shticks. Many will claim 60 fps, but when the actual game releases, it either isn't 60 fps (AC4 is 30 fps), or the game fluctuates a lot so the 60 fps claim is only achievable sometimes.

A new trend is now "targeting 60 fps".

I guess if any game hits 60 fps 1% of the time during gameplay then it succeeds at achieving 60 fps and can be a PR claim going forward.

What's terrible too is that there isn't any of that PhysX effects at all that they advertised in the trailers for the PS4 version. And this is all the more surprising for me because this is not that demanding of a game on PC.

Where's the source for this, I tried looking for one and it leads to this thread.

Maybe I'm not using the best terms in the search engines...

I personally always turn off motion blur when the option is available. I have never liked it.
