We Happy Few

If Zelda wasn't shown this would have probably been my game of show. Looks so good.

One of my most anticipated games, saw it at PAX and it didn't disappoint. I love the Bioshock visual aesthetics and the Brave New World/1984 inspired story seems cool.

It struck me as feeling a lot like Bioshock starting off in a Fallout Vault. Not one word of that should be taken as anything other than me wanting this game.

Saw on (I think an IGN) video that it's procedurally generated, so once you get out of the opening area the game will be different mostly each time out, and if you're dead, you're dead and start the game over, roguelike-like.

I salute the creativity the game offers. Definitely right up my alley and one of the top games of E3 shown.

From compulsion's website:

If you die in “We Happy Few”, that’s it – there is no reloading your save. It’s designed to be replayed. Each time you die, you’ll restart in a brand new city, thanks to our procedural generation tech. You’ll be able to customize the world to your liking, and play through using multiple characters and playstyles. Each time, you’ll learn a little more about how to survive in Wellington Wells.

I had the exact same feeling.

I've seen alpha gameplay. I like it. I'll get it for ps4 when it comes. But thank PC/Steam/kickstarter for making this game possible!

Has a bit of A Clockwork Orange feel to it, can't wait.
This!

I couldn't put my finger on it, but you have nailed it! Take me to Karova!

I really like the idea of this game, but I always associate procedural generated games with shallow/irrelevant story telling.

I do love a good twist and moral dilema, but coming from a small studio... I'm not convinced it'll be that meaningful.

Oh... And who has ever refused happy pills, ever?

I thought this game was like a year away, had no idea there was an early release tomorrow. I'm in.

The one life could put many off but I'm really looking forward to this

Wait a minute. It's coming out tomorrow? Only early access though, whatever that means. Fork over $30 now, then they finish the game and want another $30 later?

Or by the time most of you read this:

If anyone plays it please post impressions, it looks like it has potential. I won't have time until the weekend so please share, good or bad.

No. You buy now and can give feedback and ideas to help the dev.

It's just like steams early access

It wasn't up for me this morning. It was a few hours ago. I have now cashed in a few months of Bing Rewards and bought it. Now to find a chance to play . . .

Got a chance to take one run through, which took a good hour and a half or so, before dying of thirst (and general incompetence). I finally figured out the quick inventory slot but it's kind of hard to tell what's in them, so I did waste a bandage. Good times, though.

Played a couple hours too. Really strange game but compelling to keep going on. I dig it.

Played about half an hour. Looks like it's fun but I don't think it's for me.
