Feedback from the community is imperative for a forum's success and continued growth. So, as a community, what additions do you think would be beneficial to the site? I have ideas in my head that I'm thinking about but would like some feedback from our members.

I would like to see Xbox Live integration...be it avatars, gamertags listed and linked under the avatars as an option.

Roundtable reviews. Take 3-5 of the top (trusted, knowledgeable, & well-written) members here and have them provide discussions on new game releases - each provide short paragraphs to questions like "how are the online options and gameplay". Group the answers together for a review representing the different viewpoints. Dont bother with scores, let the words do the talking. You may even want to have a group of review specialists for the different genres like FPS, sports, RPG's, etc.

The traffic this site gets should get some review copies of games to the reviewers no problem. I like to read reviews when Im on the fence about the game, dont care much about scores but different viewpoints from people who's opinions I value. I think this would be helpful for all. JMHO.

Tech reviews maybe?

Like if the latest mobile device rolls out. Or reviews of whatever Microsoft shoves out for Windows 9 beta.

Some new Tech could be incidentally tied to gaming. Windows 9 beta of course, but also mobile devices may have gaming related Apps.

Also, maybe try more Polls with Articles where the topic gets a Members Rating. Something like a Rotten Tomatoes of gaming.

I used to write reviews for my last website. Some bigger, some not so big titles. I would gladly participate, but my only limitation is I wasn't able to buy ALL the games. I was sent them by site management. :(

Same deal here for me at another website. Id be happy to help also and can show plenty of work if asked. I have a good share of industry contacts also. :txbcool:

Less verbal redundancy in thread titles. And fewer smartass comments by Anderson. Oh wait, those are subtractions.

That's not a bad idea. And reviews have been something Plainview and the rest of the staff has discussed in the past. But I am partial to a roundtable review with no score although a score will bring more page views.

Lift the ban on autoplay!!! I kid, but I would like to see UGF take a page from kotaku and put well thought out posts from the members in the main page as articles. At the very least, it could make for a good experiment and helps to encourage some great discussion.

I don't know if something like this would be possible but I always have liked how IGN lets you make a list of all the games you have. Something like that would be cool here. The site would have to have a list of games in a database somewhere which the users could search on a page probably off of their profile and if the game they search for is in the database we could add it to our "collection". Nice way to see what other people have played. Again, not sure if this could be done due to coding skill (or lack there of) and possibly legal concerns (would want probably the image of the game case or something), and also don't know how much people besides me would want it or use it.

I think we should volunteer ZACK to type every game into SQL for the site.
I was thinking more like if the game doesn't exist in the site the user would be given the option to add it themselves. Just don't know where you're supposed to get the image from.

If we could just link out gamertag or whatever, we could see what games have been played.

Working in it.
