What are you playing this weekend?

As a follow up, got the consoles to work to start the project. Both consoles are prohibited on company wifi( Gonna guess someone abused it). Also, our building acts like a Faraday cage thus no cell service at all, so no mobile hot spot either. Found out that the Xbox One is damn near useless without an internet connect. Nearly nothing worked. Surprisingly, everything on the PS4 worked, albeit slowly due to last gen tech, but it did work. Blu-ray player booted just fine, downloaded games were fine, disk games were fine and non-internet apps were fine.

That was the reason I only owned like 8 games for it back in 2015 and had to get rid of it because it was completely useless. Imagine trying to update games and putting up with 3gb console updates on a 20GB per month satellite internet connection.

I think my Ps3 was the first console I religiously had hooked up to the internet. I but I didn't realize HOW dependent these newer consoles are for internet to do basic functions.

You gotta put them in offline mode and make sure it’s up to date/have your cloud saves on the console.
 
I only not work for 3 days ( during easter) this entire 2024 so far.
But I am ripping the reward of my hard work. The zero draft, more like first draft of my teen fantasy novel is almost done.
180+ page, 30k+ words count, at 5.5 x8.5” book size.

I spent about $175 on book formatting software Atticus, yesterday to put all my 21 chapters and artwork( not yet done unfortunately) together. Then I make I to pdf and physically copied for gineia pigs ( friends and famaily) to test read.

So I am giving myself a deserving one week break to play games.
Maybe I can finally finish balders gate 3.
I am thinking of getting kena something something spirit game as well.

Do you have a publisher, or doing it for yourself and your family?
 
Also, RE4 remake... fuzzy as hell on Series S, and wtf is going on with the 30fps mode? Motion sickness deluxe wth?
Try it out on the series X tonight in the guesthouse, maybe it'll look sharper idk.

I will try to look for publisher or self publish with kdp and other other one ( need to check the name) online. I have a friend working in the library so I am checking with him if his library can help promote local writer. I can pass free copies to the library or something. For that I need physical books I guess.
I just sent my first draft for some close friends to feedback. It’s pretty rough but the story is start to finish done at least.

I need to fix many errors ( notice after pdf conversion) before I feel comfortable showing to public,
I intend to take a week off to look with fresh eyes , then prepare v1.1 draft later.

Now I can have some time to play games and read some books to improve my sentence structure which is my key weakness.

I played about 2 hours of Balders gate 3. Reached the lower city. Hopefully the game will end soon.

Game is good, but I am near the point ( almost 200 hours) where it overstay the joy, and just want to finish it.
This tends to happen when games is too long, like with fat cry and drawing age inquisition.

I will ally now with anyone that get to the credit roll asap.

Shame I do not have a ps5. This is the ballpark of games I like, and I am not talking about the sexy char ( it’s a bonus for sure), but combination of exploration, platforming and combat ( while not pull your hair soul lite). Reminder me of darksider 3.

If you are just getting to the Lower City, I've got news for you. There's like 20+ quests invoving the Lower city.
