Wolverine better than Thor 2, how you figure ?

When it came to story I was more impressed with Wolverine then Thor 2, tho that I`m more a Wolverine fan then Thor fan could have something to do with it.
With Thor 2 I did already knew much of the plot twists before they happen, was too obvious.

OMG, bias, how dare you :p

I assume we are talking Wolverine 2, right ? I actually think the wolverine movies have the worst stories from any of the modern comic book movies.Including X-men 3:crazy:

Yeah the newest movie, ah if the was the first one I would understand yeah, that one did not live up to the rest. However X-men 1 and 2 was great together with the wolverine 2013 (should have added year to it sow not to confuse)

I guess it depends what your expectations were. All I knew of the movie going in was it was a comedy/crime movie based on a true story. So I had Low expectations.

Yeah I don't know, I always like to keep low expectations. I had only seen the trailer once, but I do like Scorsese's work so I can't help but compare it to his previous films.

Watched Cutie and the Boxer yesterday, really moving film, 9-9.5

Been watching a lot of older to straight up old movies through on demand.

Holiday Inn [1942] (8/10) which just makes me look at current "acting talent" and cringe. Watching old movies often does this to me. It's not that these people were amazing actors per se, but they were outstanding talent for sure.
Adventures in Babysitting (8/10). I've always loved this film, mostly due to Elizabeth Shue being so goddamn cute in it.
Tank Girl (7/10). Yes, I know, it's a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE movie by any and all standards, but god help me I LOVE IT! Lori Petty, to me, is beyond sexy in this flick and it's just so out there I can't help but love it.
7 days in may [1964] (9/10) one of the best thrillers I've ever seen, only bested by
Manchurian Candidate [1962] (10/10) a great film that was completely shamed by the horrible, horrible Denzel remake.

The Manchurian Candidate is a stone cold classic,

Dat climax, better than porn.

New World, 3/5. Kind of generic. Great fight scene and some really good character moments.

Barbara, 5/5. This is a top tier comfy film. That's not something you might expect from a film that takes in East Germany during the Cold War. But it's a quiet and subtle film that sort of lulls you into a trance. Good stuff.

Gravity

Second viewing, and to be honest, I enjoyed it more this time round. The stuff that Irked me so much before, bothered me less this time. That ISS scene has to go down as one of the best in Cinema.

Lego Movie: 8.5/10

Very nostalgic for folks who have played with Legos since the 80s, but lots of laughs for people who laugh at internet humor.

We're the Millers - 7/10
Thought this was pretty damn funny. Expected it to be stupid and one of those cliche drug movies, but it was really good fun and a lot of laughs.

Point Break - 8/10
Still a really good watch even this many years later.

Alien - 9/10
Is amazing how well this movie holds up today. I think it helps how little they show the Alien and the limitation of special effects. Atmosphere is still godly

Road House - 7.5/10
Still a movie I enjoy. Many may consider it a guilty pleasure, but I actually think it is a very solid movie.

Wolverine in Japan: Ok movie, the Japanese actress is pretty hot

Thor 2: Decent, quite like it

Riddick: A bit too slow pace at the beginning, ok. I like Vin, so

Rush: Fanastic film. The rival is good, it make you undecided who to support til the very end.

The Medicus: Not bad film.

Hobbit 2: Enjoy from start to end.

Meet the Miller: Pretty decent comedy

Special ID 7.5/10
Donnie Yen + Tian Jing + Andy On
I was looking to find other movies with Tian Jing. She's also in Jackie's recent Police Story but I've heard very mixed reviews.

Fruitvale Station 8/10

Ender's Game 7/10

Cold Prey 8/10
Pleasantly surprised..hope the sequels are good!

I, Frankenstein 5/10
The first action scene to introduce 2 characters was very well done! Unfortunately, after that everything got repetitive, stale and CGI plastic fantastic.

Zellwood 1/10
Don't watch this..unless you want to check out Sara Jean Underwood.

Oldboy 2013 - 5/10

Massive disappointment. Can not compete with the Korean original in any way. The action stuff is poorly done and lacks the brutality of its korean counterpart. The acting is OK by Brolin and Olson, but way below the main characters of the original. The story/writing its self lacks that rather ambiguous tone the original has where you aren't really sure what the point is. The Movie also tries too hard to convey a sense of morality and rationalization for certain events/actions which, IMO, it shouldn't have.

Maybe if this was an original Hollywood movie it may have faired better, but with such a massive original filled with so much quality, this remake just falls short, way short.

The LEGO Movie - 8/10

There is a live-action section at the end of the film which weakens the whole film, actually the latter half is not as good as the first half. But when it works, The LEGO Movie works really well, partly because of its outrageous humors that closely borderlines PG rating, and partly because of its incredibly imaginative effects and CGIs. Robot Chicken leads are deeply involved in this film, and the visual style and humor just shows that. A great comedy that is also a eye-opener.

Saw this in 3D with the wife and kids last night (yea thats what we do on Valentines day) and I was quite surprised of how enjoyable it was. Give it about the same rating. I actually liked the 2nd half more than the first though. Original, hilarious, thought provoking message and felt right especially seeing it with the brood.
My eldest son must have liked it because he has been creating his own lego vehicles all day today!

Yea I can't wait for it to hit Blu-ray. Also in regards to your Alien comment... bought the Blu-ray Anthology a month ago or so. Need to find some time to watch it as it has been a while.

Captain Phillips - 9/10 really enjoyed it, intense movie. The lead pirate did a great job. Hanks is always good.

All Is Lost - 8/10 great ocean survival film one of the most realistic. Redford did a great job even though he only has a few lines in the movie. Beautifuly shot.
