What movies have you seen recently?

I kept waiting for Peter Weller to say "Your move creep."

For real man. I lit up like a kid when I saw Weller. The last movie I remember him being in was Naked Lunch. I would have been fine with a "stay out of trouble" to Kirk as well. Didn't happen :(

I loved Khan.

Yep.

I have read a lot of negativity on him from the trek geek squad but they just don;t seem to want to understand that this is a different timeline and characters and interactions are going to be different.
Cumberbatch FTW

+1
World War Z sucked ass, 0/10 would not recommend.

That is a bit harsh. I can see people having issues with the last 10 minutes or so, but a 0/10. You cray cray.

I just went with the 3D version of WWZ screw it. According to AVS Forum it's pretty well done even though it wasn't shot in 3D...

Solomon Kane. It was an average movie. It reminded me a lot of "The Witcher" series of computer games.

COSMOPOLIS 8/10

Weirdly intriguing movie more character driven than plot driven. It's main character Eric Packer is only 28 but commands billions of investment dollars.

In a way, this may be the slowest ever Road Trip movie, as Packer's Limousine creeps through city traffic, encountering a variety of characters along the way.

I guess to me, this movie is interesting because it captures mood of the economy in an artistic way, and kind of shows that even Packer doesn't understand it or even himself. It is also superbly directed with great attention to lighting and color and Packer's Limo interior is a great movie set in itself.

The finale scene was also very different between Packer and the would-be killer Benno. I think both characters feel desperately self-destructive and hoped they could find answers from each other.

World War Z - 7/10

It certainly had some facepalm moments (what movie with zombies doesn't) but overall a nicely paced and decently acted zombie flick. The ending could have certainly been better, but it wasn't "bad".

You're Next... 8/10 excellent movie. New Standard for the genre

Iceman.... 8/10 Shannon did a great job. Love the whole storyline. Liotta also was great in his role
