What movies have you seen recently?

Phantom Thread: 9/10

The film is not for everyone, but each scene is filled with dramatic tension, which kept me on the edge of my seat. I won't go into the story because to do so would spoil it in a major way. If you're a Daniel Day Lewis fan even in the slightest way, you should watch this film. This character is up there with his finest performances.

Game Night 7.2 - This was pretty fun. I always go into these comedies with low expectations. I enjoyed watching it.

The Avengers: Infinity War 7.7 - Good. It was fun watching the Guardians interact with the Avengers. Thanos is less of an a****** than in the comics..but he was just as dangerous.
The fight scenes with the Black Order - Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight, were nice..nothing mindblowing but I really liked seeing them (finally) on the big screen.

There's a part with Star Lord and Thanos that should've been cut. I'd much rather just see them fail trying than Star Lord fking up in such a stupid manner. The aftermatch was spectacular though. I was satisfied.
Now we'll have to wait a very long time until we get to watch Part 2.

Hangman 5.4 - Al Pachino playing an ex-detective trying to find a serial killer with his old partner and a rookie journalist. Al Pachino had some dry humor in this one..and the final scene was predictable af..but It was the only right way to end it, I suppose.

The last Jedi

Yeah still doesn't feel like a real SW film and they ruined luke.

The whole casino stuff is just totally pointless.

What did you want? Luke to leave that island and take on the whole First Order with his laser sword....

No but he wouldn't give up and hide like the film decided and he wouldn't have tried to kill Ben

Avengers Infinity War

It’s shonen at its purest, targeting the inner nerdy child within my siblings friends and I. We took up a whole row and never even whispered at one another about anything. Although when some the audience would laugh they’d laugh into the next line and kinda ruined those bits, so will definitely see it again.

This is the best Avengers, not the best MCU. It’s the most action pack by far but it did lack some more heart/character...but it’s kinda expected not to since there were dedicated movies for each character, still no excuse though.

This is not for someone totally new going into this expecting for a quick recap of who’s who, which may ruin some of the surprises and questions to certain characters. But will said person who’s never seen an MCU flick enjoy this or not, that’ll depend if they’re missing that inner kid like sense of wonder awe.

4 out of 4.

*edit*

CG has made some ftl jumps in detail, especially when comparing this to the first hulk movie.

Saw Avengers on Monday and A Quiet Place on Wednesday.

Would love to see a prequel to A Quiet Place (which I'm sure is already in the works given how much money it made)

Nothing in a sequel could offer beyond some of the aliens not being able to be killed by sound waves. Then it's a sequel of trying to figure out what kills them too.

There is plenty they could do with it. They aren't limited to the limitations of the first movie.

Yeah for sure. I really liked the entire movie until the last scene.

*cocks shotgun*

What about the fact that...

Before the arrival of head decapitating monsters, we do this...

After the arrival of head decapitating monsters we do this?

Movie had so many dumb scenes where characters behaved with no authenticity. Overrated.

Now find a pic of equal context.

Thanks for letting me know the movie is about decapitating monsters.....

Looking forward to renting it when it hits home release.

Bizzaro indy flick BUZZARD.

Extremely mixed feelings on this movie.

The main character is a dick, but maybe deserves some sympathy for having a horrible low pay Temp job. At least that's how I feel at first. He supplements his low income life by being a scammer or nickel and diming the system, until he goes to far attempting to cash stolen checks from his job while hiding out in Detroit getting into even more trouble.

For some reason, his creative way of expressing his frustrations is to modify a Nintendo Power Glove with Freddy Krueger claws.

The movie is frustrating to watch and I oftened despised this guy, yet it's also kind of apparent he's a product of his environment, especially his idiot friend who keeps daring and provoking him.

The Greatest Showman - 7/10 I’ve never been big on musicals. My sister came to town and rented this for the whole family to watch (she’s been raving about it) I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good movie, the songs were very catchy.... and like always Jackman is a god.

I still think it’s a little silly watching a film and someone all of a sudden breaks out in song/dance lol.
