What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

Stranger Things - Pretty decent. Everytying about it is solid. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Just binge watched all 4 episodes of The Defiant Ones documentary series on HBO. Amazing.

Has anyone been watching this new mini series called Manhunt Unabomber? I'm watching the second episode now and I am hooked! I love investigation type movies/tv shows like this and one this good does not come along very often. It stars Sam Worthington (Avatar). Check it out.

Paul Bettany is really good in this. On episode 3 now. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would watch episode 4 tonight too. Good stuff.

Mmmmm.... The Superbowl of TV just happened for me.

The Real Housewives of New York: Reunion.

So good! 7 women c***ing each other out like the fabulous bitches they are. I'd give my left nut for these specials to be on every week. These women are so horrible and mean to each other. I love it.

Just finished The Defenders.

Thank god for Kristen Ritter, otherwise we'd be stuck with a bunch of emo adult-baby and a blind man shaped like a stick who learnt everything he knows about acting from the Keaunu Reeves Academy of Confused Eyebrows. She's the only thing that breaks the sookie-lala vibes.

Sigourney Weaver plays Sigourney Weaver really well though. And I loved watching Gao get thrown around.

The Defenders - I don't think this mixture works all to well. Jessica always seems out of depth in the action scenes. The Iron Fist's action scenes are still poorly done and edited, you can see the big gulf in quality compared to Daredevil's solo scenes. Luke Cage just seems to be in to be the bullet shield.

The show overall is decent, but lacks in the big showdowns....and was very predictable. It was also shorter than expected.

I'm starting American Horror Story Cult. My girl loves this show she has seen all the seasons. She said each season is stand alone so figured what the hell I'll watch this one and if I like it I'll go back and watch the other seasons on Netflix.

The Orville - I'll keep watching.

I love sci fi and The Orville (Star Trek parody) doesn't deserve to be on TV. It's campy and largely unfunny, but it's all we've got for now, so I'll keep watching.

The Tick

Some of the show with Arthur starts off on a weirdly serious tone and builds on that with the arrival of The Tick. It has a kind of demented humor which I guess is okay as the comic was kind of bizarre sometimes. It's also weird that The Tick isn't even sure where he suddenly came from. In the comic, he broke out of a mental institution because he was bored, so who knows.

Watched two season finales tonight.

Snowfall - I liked it. Franklin's story is what carries this show and the guy who plays him is really good. The other two stories are decent, but could be better. They have laid the groundwork for a much better season two. Looking forward to the next season.

Preacher - was a fun season I love this damn show. I never thought in my life I would feel bad for Hitler and be rooting for him.... LOL! Can't wait to see what happens next on this show.

I finished the new miniseries Manhunt: Unabomber. One of the best shows I've seen in awhile, highly recommend. It was very well done.

The creator of the show is hinting at doing more seasons and each season would be a stand alone season based on more true crime stories. I hope it happens!

Started the new show The Sinner. Watched the first three episodes. This show is really good. One of those shows that keeps you guessing what is really going on. I wanted to keep watching but I need sleep.

I binged Peaky Blinders finally (not sure why I stopped halfway through episode 1 then never returned all those years ago)

It was great. Not as good as Boardwalk Empire though which I bring up because they feel similar in a lot of ways, but it's close to that good which is like as good as it gets IMO.

Now I'm out of stuff to watch again :(

Watched The Ice Storm on Netflix last night out of frustration with having nothing I want to watch. 1997 movie that was a bit of a sleeper back then. It's still pretty good and I really enjoyed watching it again like I hadn't ever watched it (didn't remember much about it) but man I'm feeling old how outdated some of the 90's movies are looking and feeling now.

I did the exact same thing! Started watching the first ep and then dropped it for a few years. Tried it again and got hooked over the winter. Hmmm. Never watched BWE but if you think its better than PB then I will have to give it a go.

Just finished the final two episodes of The Sinner. Great f***ing show! Some nice twists and turns throughout. Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman are really good in this. Highly recommend.

Caught up on the 2nd half of the newest season of Fear The Walking Dead. It has been good! Season finale this Sunday.

We’ve been watching The Lowe Files a show on A&E with Rob Lowe and his two sons investigating the paranormal across the US. Entertaining show I like it.

Lowe Files is ok, but it really needs to be an hour. I think that would make it more enjoyable.

As a longtime fan, that is true. But in the animated series from the 90s, he also never knew where he came from for all 3 seasons. I’m guessing they’ll just keep it that way.

On another note, I just started the 2nd (there are only 2) season of the anime series ‘Berserk.’ Love it.

What is with the eye twitch thing Arthur does? A nervous 'tick'? Or the talking night light with Tick's voice?

Is The Tick Arthur's neurotic side manifested as a super hero some how?

Tin Star - Not bad. I did find the whole big reveal to be a little tame.

The Sinner - Only 2 episodes in but seems decent. The show will be made or broke by the reveal surrounding Biels character, though.

He did let slip that he knew/remembered his grandmother when he was younger....
