Well I probably made a mistake. Dumb me going against any recommendations, I decided tis the season to start horror shows/movies so I went with The Mist. Only watched the first episode so far and ehhh. We'll see how it goes going forward but not expecting much.

For something leaning Horror, I highly recommend Ash Vs. Evil Dead. It was far better than I expected it to be and hilarious as well as very gross for a TV show.

I tend to think it would be better to at least see Evil Dead 2 first. You can skip the original Evil Dead if you want since Evil Dead 2 is kind of a recap / reboot of it and establishes Ash as more of an a****** he

Who is America: wtf? Lol. Sacha Baron Cohen convinced a politician to attack Isis with his arse?

The segment where he is selling the idea of a "Super mosque" being built in their town would be comedy gold if their reactions weren't so scary.

HANNIBAL is also very good for serious psychological horror. I'm really amazed something this effed up and bloody was on NBC.

All 3 Seasons are currently included with Amazon Prime.

I do think some of it is way over the top in terms of it being a serial killer of the week show and some of the killers do crazy displays of their victims. The production is maybe a little to creatively indulgent sometimes, but that is a nitpick.

The show absolutely shines though with Mads Mikkelson as Hannibal Lecter. It's disturbing AF or like watching The Food Network from Hell. Lawrence Fishburn is also very good in this show as Crawford.

Mads' performance for this character is kind of unnerving and he likes using his training in psychology to manipulate people or make his patients worse rather than better(that someone explains why there are so many killers running amok lol). He rarely if ever shows malice to anyone even when plotting how to kill them. The exception to that is sort of when he thinks anyone has been rude. That just annoys him so much they get moved up on the Menu list.

I would recommend at least seeing the movie The Silence of the Lambs and maybe the sequel HANNIBAL. Then watch this TV show as a long running prequel. That is optional though because this is such a strong stand alone show, but you'll catch some references from the films. You could maybe enjoy this just as much watching the show first and then the movies.

Once I catch up on some of my backlog on DVR I plan on watching this. I’ve been waiting awhile to see it.

Started the new season of Fear The Walking Dead. I liked how they handled bringing in a TWD character into this was pretty cool. Looking forward to the rest of this I liked the last season.

Started watching Jack Ryan and was immediately hooked. It's VERY similar to Homeland in the way it humanizes the villains, and the protagonists aren't as complex, but it's got the same urgency from 24, which just makes you want to binge the entire season.

Rescue Me - Started watching this with my wife we’re towards the end of season 1. Her first time seeing it, this will be my 3rd. She’s hooked already. Great laughs, drama, and one of my all time favorite shows. It’s on Amazon Prime.

I couldn't keep with The Mist and gave up after two episodes. I had canceled my Netflix so only had a couple weeks left so decided on something short so went with season two of Black Mirror. I've seen three of the four episodes so far and honestly it's no where near as good as the first season. One episode left which I guess I'll be watching tonight seeing as my sub ends today.

Not sure what to watch next. Most likely going to go with something on Amazon as I don't know if I will renew my Prime when that is up in November. With the rise of prices, the fact I don't order a whole lot of stuff I need in two days, and the fact they are removing ad free viewing of Twitch, are all huge negatives. Still, if there are enough good shows, a free Twitch sub, and discount on the Washington Post it might still be worth it. Anyways, I may go with Jack Ryan, although Ace brings up a good point on Homeland. Think I have one or two seasons of that to catch up on but guess that can wait as I don't have a Showtime sub right now.

I think Prime is worth it just for the Prime Video. A nice selection of shows and movies on it. I’ve used it a lot.

Well Netflix screwed me out of my last day of sub, so I had to get another month to finish the last episode of Black Mirror season 2, which was easily the best of that season. Since I'm in the Halloween spirit already, and hyped playing Bloodborne again, I felt like something similar to that so I went with Penny Dreadful. Only watched the first episode last night but really enjoyed it.

Loved that show. It's a damn shame it got canceled. Netflix would have been a better suit.

I saw a post on that probably on Reddit. Not sure what they will be discussing but I'm sure there's plenty of appeals and what not since the end of the first season.

Decided to finally try BLACK MIRROR.

I have very mixed feelings about the first episode. I'm trying to put into perspective being released in 2011 and trying to be a weird commentary on emerging social media and in a way perhaps Cyber Bullying? Or maybe the public's appetite for media spectacle or watching other people be humiliated?

I sort of admire the episode for being so extreme with such a disgusting idea, but I think the antagonist remained to much in the background. I do think this succeeded in being emotional and totally insane and unfair. Perhaps the job of the episode is mostly to establish that as a common theme?

I think the episode would have been more solid if it was shown the antagonist wanted to call off the whole thing at the last minute, but it failed to happen or people didn't get the message on social media while they were all watching the event unfold on TV. You would also think the hostage would have close ties and deep appreciation to the Protagonist for enduring something so awful to save her.

I'll probably give this series another try and Season 3 might be handled differently under Netflix's ownership. I also hear Season 4 is a popular bizarro Star Trek spoof.

I almost disregarded it after first episode. Don’t.

I've only watched the first two seasons. I actually thought season 2 was weaker than the first although the last episode made up for it. They are entertaining enough for me to continue watching at least.

Have watched the first five episodes of the first season of Penny Dreadful and loving this show. Makes me want either a sequel or reboot of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, although the darkness/gothicness of Penny is right up my alley. All of the characters in this show I am familiar with outside of Vanessa Ives and Ethan Chandler, but regarding Chandler...

I'm going to guess he is a werewolf. The scene in one of the early episodes where they encounter wolves at the zoo and he calms them, then another when they have the vampire locked in the basement and Frankenstein wants to take his blood he says something to the effect of "I wouldn't do that," and finally in the episode prior to making love to Dorian Gray he has flashbacks that seem to hint to there being more to him.

Finished the first season. Really enjoyed it. Glad my spoiler came true.

I was going to cancel my Netflix for a while, then they go and drop a couple new horror shows. Haunting of Hill House and Haunted, plus a few new original movies as well.

I finally finished Better Call Saul. Honestly it felt really, really slow to me. A few really neat moments, but it just seemed to drag around.

Anyway, Daredevil season 3 starts tomorrow!
