What were your absolute favorite toys you had as a kid? Please post so that we may all feel old. And remember, only post your absolute favorite toys. Get out of here with that Stretch Armstrong ****.

(Note: Let's leave videogames out of this thread)

I had two standouts growing up. This thing...

Mine was cooler than this imposter though because it had a cool finish line and a starting gate that gave the races a real authenticity.

Then I had this guy...

...which was a million times better than that TYCO trash.

What about you?

Mainly Transformers.

I also had a lot of Stompers and those slot cars/tracks over the years.

Hot Wheels -- plenty of races with my brothers, with tracks spread from room to room.

Modeling Clay - I had lots of fun in the garage, shaping little armies of soldiers that would fight each other on the battlefield. I remember hours immersed in that.

There were also these soft plastic figures, I don't know their name, but I'd take them on great imaginative adventures through the house, climbing, camping out, whatever I could come up with. I think of that as a precursor of my love for open-world exploration.

I liked playing with paper and pencil/pen, too. There were various games you could create on paper (e.g., tank battles). There was paper football, with the little triangle-shaped football and your two hands used as goal posts. When I was around 12, I created these little parody magazines, filled with stupid humor, sort of my version of Mad or Cracked.
