I previously wanted Watch Dogs, but that got delayed so oh well.

I have not really followed the media or news or buzz, etc. But figure it will either be Ghosts or BF4. What's the general consensus? I'll probably play some mutliplayer if some of you will be around, but probably not as much into it as I used to be so more focused on campaign for now.

O s***, Shockwave.

Anyway, BF4 looked fun to play online, but I hear from pc people that the game is buggy as hell, like alpha build buggy. Can't comment on COD, I hate COD.

BF4 looks amazing online, 64 players, destruction etc looks amazing, as far as bugs it'll all be sorted for when the XO launches; all of my friends are getting BF4, not really heard anything great about COD.

Between cod and bf I'd say go with bf. Though if you wanted something to fill the watch dogs void, maybe consider ac4.

With MP not being your primary focus...I wouldn't get either, but then it isn't like the launch has a lot of quality SP oriented games for you any way. AC4 and Ryse are about it. The rest is filled with crap or sports titles. It isn't even like there are many quality SP games coming soon either.

At this moment, I'm leaning towards dead rising 3. There isn't much at launch that jumps out at me, but I wanted something that was made from the ground up for the console. It was either this or RYSE. I'm not into racers.

To me and this isn't saying call of duty is a good game because i do tend to enjoy them. There is only one option, battlefield will allow large scale matches of 32vs32 which is always how it was meant to be played, and is a huge leap over current gen. Where as with ghosts it could still be a great game but there wont be much that stands out to make it a huge improvement over current versions.

I'd personally choose Ghosts over BF4.. but that's just personal gameplay choice.. I really like COD multiplayer. (not some avid player, only randomly spend weekends playing it, but I find it fun)

Ok well I went with CoD Ghosts. Few reasons...

1) I'm much more a casual gamer now and the in depth craziness of BF4 is probably beyond what I'll give a s*** about. 64 multiplayer sounds like a clusterf*** to me.

2) Two friends of mine I hang out with a bunch said they are getting CoD Ghosts so I guess if I want to play anything with them, that's the way to go.

3) I'm probably more into the straight forward action based shooter than the super tactical style of BF.

4) 720p upscaled is the bomb!

It depends. If your not big on mp like me get Dead Rising 3. I'm hoping that it will be like GTA5, but with zombies. Ryse looks lime a good single player game also. If mp is your thing your choices are C.O.D., or BF4. Racing of course Forza. Fighting game would be Killer Instinct. Sports your choice would be between football, soccer,or basketball.
Really I'm thinking if not picking a game up right off the back. Even though I have madden DR3, and Ryse paid off. I'm hoping that there will be demos available of all games. I'm really getting tired of buying horrible games, then the demo comes out a week later.

I'm still on the fence on getting the XBO. I'll get it eventually and if I was getting it at launch I would have gotten Watch Dogs too if it wasn't delayed. I like Battlefield more than COD, only because you get a chance to relax when playing. In COD you're constantly getting into shootouts with little time to breath. To me, It's a real clusterf***. Still, COD is a great launch game to pick up and you'll have fun with your buds.

right now BF4 is a mess, hopefully it will be cleared when the X1 comes out, just send me an a friend request.
But my first game will be Killer Instinct and also Ryse.

I'm definitely getting BF4, but I'll probably grab COD too. The games still offer very different gameplay. COD is still a great game to hop on for some quick, mindless fun. I don't always have time to get into a good BF game during the week.

As far as shooters go, I guess Ghost and BF4 are the only options for launch. If Watch Dogs was what you wanted, maybe you should buy ACIV. Maybe you can demo Crimson Dragon and LocoCycle and see if those are up your alley. Of course, Killer Instinct will be available as well. You can always try that for no cost as well. Ryse is arguably the biggest console exclusive coming out this holiday, so there's always that as well.
Personally, I'm leaning towards the trio of Ryse, Crimson Dragon, and Loco Cycle. Might get Forza 5 as well.

Plus, don't they have a squad mode that sort of plays like a simplified version of Full Spectrum Warrior?

I'm not so sure about Loco cycle, definitely need a demo of that. Definitely unique, but it don't know if it'll have any substance really.

It looks like a weird Spy Hunter with some melee car combat thrown in. So I'll definitely be giving it a try. Plus, I love Twisted Pixel games.

Ryse for sure. Outside of that though I have no idea. Not a fan of all of the problems I am hearing with the ports like COD and BF4.

If your not really going for multi player don't bother with either cod or battlefield. Maybe try Ryse or Dead Rising 3
