Which 4K HDR TV are you planning to buy for Scorpio or One s?

Anyone have some links for a 40-45 inch tv?

Several of us bought the Sony X800D series last year when the Pro launched. It was quite inexpensive at the time. I think this year's model is the X850 or X900, not sure. Regardless, I've been extremely happy with it for an inexpensive and solid way to game at 4K. Extremely low input lag as well.

The HDR on my model is pretty much crap though, which is fairly common for lower cost 4K sets. I've heard they've improved it on the new models.

As you know I have the same model and I read a review on the new model that said its not as good as the one we have. It had something to say about the colors not being as good and that it was more expensive to boot. I'm very happy with the Sony X800D but I don't have anything to compare it too. But for gaming its fantastic as a lower end 4K TV.

You didn't have a 4 year warranty.
We can look up almost any tv maker and find complaints.
If you say so Val. May your set never bite the dust. You will find out they don't stand behind their warranty. I will never own or suggest anyone buy that brand.

For people who are looking to spend the lowest amount possible then Vizio is the brand to go with. Some of their 4kUHD tvs are actually quite good.
Hisense and RCA and stuff like that is just wasting money IMO.

So I've had my Q7 for two weeks now. We got Netflix just for the 4k stuff and been watching a bunch of YouTube 4k stuff I must say I'm very impressed with it. Hooked the one up to it today for the first time and played a bunch of destiny 2 and NHL I must say I was very happy with it. Any Canadians on here who don't have access to that nice tcl set in the US I would recommend getting this set for sure. With the recent price cuts to $2400 if you go to visions and beat them up you can get the set for around $1600.

Quick question for you guys, I may have a toddler who put her hands on the screen and left some prints, how do you guys clean your screens ? I have the microfibre cloth and a bottle of LCD spray but I seem to always leave it streaky, any tips?

Try another brand of liquid LCD cleaner. Never spray directly on the screen. Spray it on the microfiber cloth.

Never use ammonia-based cleaners (Windex, for example) or alcohol-based cleaners because they may damage the anti-reflective coating on the screen. The safest cleaning mixture you can make at home is a 50/50 solution of distilled water and white vinegar. You can increase the percentage of vinegar for tough grease. Avoid using tap water as it contains minerals that could also damage the coating.

I don't why people share TV settings as if there is some universal "good" setting. Not all panels are the same, not all lighting conditions are the same. Tweak your OWN settings or have someone come out and professionally calibrate it.

Starting point and you can do minor tweaks from there. Absolutely no reason to have someone come out and calibrate your tv for you in this day and age.

Have you ever had a high end TV calibrated by a professional before? Or lets just say in the last 10 years?

My friend has, and it’s not worth it. My and his settings had no perceptible difference from the professional’s settings. We had a starting point and tweaked it from there.

Enough said right there.
