Will the Xbox One go down as the greatest console of all time?

Obviously this generation just started but it's never too early to start throwing around the title of the greatest console of all time. From what i've seen already i'm just going to predict that the Xbox One will be the best console i've ever played and i've played them all since i got my NES when i was 5.

So the question is. What will it take for the Xbox One to go down as the greatest console you've ever played? What games need to be released? How far do you think Microsoft can push Kinect and the power of the cloud? What other features of the Xbox One do you love now and what features do you think will be added over the years? Personally, i think the "Xbox, record that" feature is the best thing going in gaming today.

How many Xbox One consoles does Microsoft have to sell for it to be a success? More than the 360? I think it's a given that the Xbox One will sell over 100 million consoles when it's all said and done. It's just that awesome.

So now being a gamer and being excited for the future of the console you prefer makes you a paid PR person? Alright then. Maybe you should go to more a casual forum or something 'CasualGamer'. We hardcore gamers here at Union enjoy talking about our hardcore gaming. Sorry if that upsets you.

He's a joke poster, he mostly posts on Playstation Universe.
He is one of the biggest Sony fanboys you will find on there.
After years of getting outed as a Sony fanboy he changed his spiel to this pro xbox character he now portrays.
Strange but true, and we love him for it. :bang:

I don't even post at PSU anymore. Maybe twice a week now. I've always been an Xbox fan. People just choose to believe what they want to believe.

Can we get some real posts on this topic now? Nobody else is as excited with their purchase of the Xbox One as me and for the future of this great console?

It's got a lot of great competition, so I think it's going to be hard for it to be universally accepted as the greatest console ever. In my opinion though, this is the most I've been excited about a console in my history of gaming, so the potential for me to call it the greatest is definitely there. For now though, I have to leave it at just potential. This generation is far from over. I need to see some games that make me as excited as the console itself does.

I just hope Microsoft brings the IP's new and old. If Microsoft gave me a new Azurik I would be willing to call it the greatest console ever.

I don't know why I love that game so much. :txbsmile:

Would have become a franchise on the PS2.
 
Well I'm not sure if it will go down as the greatest of all time, but so far it is the greatest console of this early generation. I owned a Wii U and PS4 before my XBOX ONE. The Wii U barely got used its first year (might have turn it on once a quarter, if that). The PS4 was used a lot when I first got it, but looking at it now, I wonder why in the world I even bought the thing (exclusive content for the PS4 at launch is complete and utter garbage, maybe the worst I have ever seen for a big system launch). Every game I like on the PS4, aside from Resogun, is a multiplat game I could have got on my XBOX ONE. Now it is just collecting dust next to my XBOX ONE, which is on every day, nearly all day. I own mostly exclusives on the XBOX ONE too, aside from Madden 25 and NFS Rivals. They are all pretty good and fun games. We shall see how this generation ends up, but so far MS is at least attempting to bring a great exclusive lineup to the XBOX ONE. Hope they keep it up.

The features are another reason the XBOX ONE to me is winning my time. Just a cool system all the way around. MS promised an all in one system and that is what they delivered. I can only imagine it will get better and better as this generation goes on.

I'm having more fun with this console than any other at launch... With TV integration, my wife and I have also both used it more consistently than any other console.

So yes... This (so far) has been the best console for us ever... Loving it.

all i can say is 'has potential' living in Aus TV features not fully supported yet. Needs more aps and games need to be consistently good for few years.
 
Wooooooooooooooooo can we turn thus into a secret fanboy thread! Huh please!!!!!! X1 is the greatest console EVER. I don't care if it doesn't sale another unit.
But does anyone else think that its a little stragethat there us a multi national, device that has its own currency, has all your information, gives you some sort of number, and can track you anywhere. Remind you if anything?

Got caught earlier this year or late last year posting bulls*** like halo is the definitive fpson teamxbox and then going to a playstation based site and posting killzone is the definitive shooter.

The Xbox One is and will be the pinnacle of all consoles.

The XB1 is vastly better than any other gaming console, ever. Its awesomeness is infinite. It is godlike, and better than any console before and after it.
