yeah, I'm in the minority I know...bottom of list for issues. I just updated my surface RT to win8.1 and for some reason the reply box is untappable(never receives focus). search and other inputs are fine.
 
I updated my laptop to 8.1 as well. The new start button is fugly...wish I could switch it back to the old hot corner..prefered that much more. The only quirk I have found so far is that my printer drivers work but the extra options it had don't..gotta wait for an updated driver set I guess
 
The new Start button just takes you back to the Metro Start menu. So really my complaint about the Start Menu disappearing is still valid. The new Start buton is like the new Mountain Dews. "New look! Same terrible UI!"

I'm biased, but I haven't seen any real improvement in Windows 8.1 for my laptop.
 
I like the start menu..but I have also been using WP for over 2 years. I liked the bigger hot corner start menu button than the dinky one 8.1 has lol

Try a different style and see if that works. Try a fixed and fluid version.

does IE11 work in here for you? I've tried both my desktop and SurfaceRT with no success. layout switching doesn't help either

I haven't tried it, been using chrome for the longest time lol

EDIT: I am typing this part in IE11. I hadn't used it yet so I tried going to the site and to this thread..it took about 3-4 mins to load up and then log in and then load up the thread (was loading much slower than IE10 ever did). Tried to edit my post but wouldn't let me; it opened the edit dialog box but was blank., closed the tab and added the site to the compatibility view settings as @Plainview suggested and loaded the page up again, this time it went faster (though not as fast as I am used to with chrome or IE10) and allowed me to edit the post to add this part

ALT brings up the menu, select tools then compatibility mode and add the site. This will fix it - from my 8.1 surface rt.
 
Adding the site to a compatibility list solved the issue and enabled the writing box once more with IE11, but is there any way to solve this issue on a web code side?
 
Yeh compatibility mode fixed my Surface also. Very nearly threw it out the window all the way back to Microsoft with a copy of win 8 attached.
