His head size isn't the only problem. How much of his torso would that shield cover?One pec?

Not sure about XMen, but I think with Spiderman but I think if they don't make a film for a certain amount of time, the license goes back to Marvel. Of course Spiderman films make big money so they'll keep making them, so if we really want Spiderman alongside The Avengers, we should all not buy tickets to the film and let Sony lose money on it. But that's not happening.
 
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST EXTENDED CUT COMING 2015

An extended cut of this year's X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming next year, a studio executive has confirmed via Twitter.

Fox EVP of Marketing Communications James Finn revealed that the extended cut was on its way, but sadly not until next year; the upcoming Blu-ray/Digital HD release will feature the theatrical cut.

The existence of the extended cut was teased last month by executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner, who confirmed to a fan on Twitter that it would feature the scrapped Rogue sub-plot, and would be released "later this year."

Last December, X-Men director Bryan Singer revealed that Rogue's (Anna Paquin) big scene had been cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past. The scene, described as an elaborate rescue also featuring Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Professor X (Patrick Stewart) had been judged as extraneous, and Paquin's final appearance in the theatrical cut amounted to little more than a cameo.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be available on Digital HD on September 23 and Blu-ray October 14.

Does not say, but I would assume a Blu-ray/DVD release.
I just hope it is early 2015, as I really enjoyed the movie and want to experience it in lovely HD at home :)
 
I finally saw this movie last week, it was awesome! the best X-men movie so far IMO.
