X1 back in stock at Amazon 12/13/2013

Yeah seems Xbox One is constantly in top 3 now for over a week and it looks to be back in stock again this morning.

The better list is here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2013/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar

That's Amazon's top 100 of 2013. The link you posted is compiled so often things change too much.

PS4 hardware is all the way down to 75.

But it's clearly only an indication of Amazon's stock not being replenished.. because PS4 games, which aren't supply limited.. are CRUSHING Xbox One games. Only XBO game on the list is their version of COD Ghosts way down at number 69 or something.. whereas several PS4 SKU's, including the only exclusive on the list KZ, are in the 30's range.

XBO software doing so poorly on Amazon is probably the most interesting stat.

Ton of people might be buying digitally though on xbox one because its better if you do unless you like trading in games. Especially with Voice recognition.

Plus Amazon did buy 2 get 1 free on ps4 games so I think that padded the stats quite a bit. Xbox One didn't have a buy 2 get 1 free.

Plus Amazon gave codes out for a free game if you had just 1 game preordered at Amazon in your E-mail (JUST 1 not 2 games, so it was Buy 1 get 1 free for some people). I was hoping Amazon did this for Xbox one the week after but never happened mainly because Target only did this on PS4 and Amazon price matched it and even made it better for people who had a game Preodered.

I have ordered my Xbox One from Amazon. Now what game to get: Dead Rising 3 or Ryse: Son of Rome

I agree. I can't imagine people buying all these X1s and not getting games for them.

The system is $100 more than the xbox 360 (at launch) and PS4. Some people are just buying one game like myself since Call of Duty Ghosts is selling well for the xbox one like Bunz was suggesting from the amazon data.

Yeah DD might be the reason.. which is why I said it's the most interesting stat.

It's also possible that Xbox One is being bought as a media device by people who don't buy a lot of games.. like the PS3 before it at launch.

I say that because aside from games being absent from the Amazon list, the Dualshock 4 controller is also way higher on the list than the Xbox One controller is. Considering the games for either system are very similar, and neither systems games encourage more or less controller buying... that seems to indicate that PS4 is the more popular gaming machine on Amazon despite it's hardware flagging in sales due to it being out of stock.

For clarity: DS4 is 24th on the list, Xbox one controller is 79th.

It would be interesting to see if people are buying them without many games to just use them as a media center. I would guess that not too many would jump on board for just that this early. I like what the X1 does, but I wouldn't pay $500 if I wasn't gaming a lot.

I agree I can see why people bought ps3 for media because Blue Ray ps3 was cheaper at the time than buying a blue ray player but I don't see really any reason to why you buy a Xbox one unless your gaming.

I've only played little over an hour of each at my friends house, but based off what I played I'd say DR3.
Ryse was too repetitive for me Dead Rising was fun as hell though, as id Peggle 2.

Or maybe this just shows people are buying more than one DS4 because if they only have 1 they have to waster so much time charging it?

Partly just joking... but really.

The amazon list seems to be borked to me.Been jacked up this whole holiday season imo

The yearly one is good.. it's the "hot sellers" that can change at any minute.

But I had a major brain fart on that analysis. PS4 overall sold more in the US, which is why the game and controller sales are higher... the anomaly is the PS4 hardware on amazon, which had stock problems, but PS4 buyers from other stores would still buy games and controllers on amazon. DERP

Don't forget Amazon also had that buy two get one free sale for PS4 games. They did not have the same deal for the Xbone. Not sure how much of a factor it played, but it may have had an impact.

You also have to wonder if the game sales also include when the game sold with a bundle. PS4 bundles would sell more than an Xbox One bundle do to price.

Only XBOX ONEs for sale now at Amazon are the overpriced ones (people trying to make a buck). XBOX ONE has been in the top 4 in sales for its category since it launched nearly a month ago. Amazing how MS has kept up with the demand. Production must be in overdrive.

Bestbuy in store pretty much in stock everywhere when I put in a zip code. So looks like great chance if anyone wants to get it in a store instead would go to best buy.

This first time I really seen Xbox one out of stock at Amazon, it seems like its either in stock or even Preorder. They don't even have a Preorder option now.

I'm not totally up to date on it, but didn't Sony open up a digital storefront on Amazon? If people are on Amazon already buying software it is more likely that they'll also pick up an accessory or two while they're at it.

Xbox One ranked 8 on Amazon, PS4 ranked 60.

Its been Top 3 for awhile, this first time I seen it drop from Top 3 since like early dec but I think its beacuse its been out of stock quite a bit more lately, where as few days ago it was in stock constantly for past weeks.
