Very nice. Looks great on X1. I'm not sure If I'll pick it up though. I'm getting burned out on pure shooters...
So hyped for this game. I'm actually ready for a gorgeous mindless shooter.

I mean a general sense. I'd lump Halo, Battlefield (newer ones), Wolfenstein, and COD in my definition in this instance. Games who's gameplay is all shooting. I just crave more depth right now. The Division is a great example of what I wanted. It's a shooter, but it's also an RPG. the pacing is measured, and tension is allowed to build. I only hope it has a bit more cohesive story.
I'm not just referring to the X1- I've been playing shooters for a loooonng time, so I'm getting burned out. I need more to keep me interested. I'm playing Deus Ex right now, and it's fantastic (aside from a bit of stiffness). It's a shooter, it's an RPG, it can be stealth. It one of the reasons I played the s*** out of Farcry 3 and 4. I'd love to see a Halo Campaign with that kind of scenario variety. It is a shooter though, and I do think there is still room for it.That's only 4
As for Doom, I will just do like I did with Wolfenstein and pick it up in a year on the cheap.
The original Doom is still fun as Hell ( no pun)
This looks like Brutal Doom with current gen graphics. Which is what I wanted.
It will be interesting to see how it reviews though. Some will no doubt feel like it's too old school.
If Fallout 4 used a open world 1080p/900p/30fps version of this engine it wouldn't look like HL2.
Me too. I loved Doom 3. I remember playing it as a kid, and I'm still surprised I ever beat the game given how scary and difficult it was. Half the time I'd be so scared that I just let the monster kill me so the scary part of actually playing the game passes over me. "Just kill me demon and get it over with already" lol

Looking forward to the new Doom. Haven't played a shooter in a while, so this is up my alley. Doom has always been one of the funner shooters to play.

If RAGE is anything to go by.... The game will be pretty close across the board.
Id rather have it on console due to better online play(for my tastes)
