https://venturebeat.com/2018/08/27/xbox-all-access-is-real-and-a-great-deal/

"If you don’t already own an Xbox One, Microsoft is making a bold and aggressive move to get you on board with its new Xbox All Access financing plan. The publisher confirmed the All Access program in a blog post today. For 24 monthly payments, Microsoft will give you an Xbox One X or Xbox One S along with Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass for less than you would pay if you purchase and subscribed all of those products separately."

"“For no upfront cost and one low monthly price for 24 months, Xbox All Access gets you a new Xbox One S or Xbox One X, access to more than 100 great games through Xbox Game Pass, and online multiplayer with Xbox Live Gold,” Xbox product marketing boss Bogdan Bilan said. “That’s more than 100 all-you-can-play games — including highly-anticipated new Xbox One exclusives the day they’re released, plus more games added all the time on the fastest, most reliable gaming network and an Xbox One console.”

"The Xbox One S plan starts at $22 per month, and the Xbox One X plan starts at $35. This is not a leasing program.

But unlike those phone plans, Xbox All Access is actually less expensive than purchasing an Xbox One outright and then subscribing to Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass for two years."

Finally, Microsoft does note that this is a “limited-time offer,” and it’s only for “qualified customers.” But for those of you who haven’t filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, Microsoft wants to give you an easy and affordable way to get an Xbox One X along with dozens of games.

There was a thread on my XBOX feed. There were some real dense people. Including someone calling the story "misinformation" and "How come the ONE X is more expensive than the S." yes, I am not kidding.

Damn, I was hoping for a bigger official unveiling with some game-related announcements.

This may help me out. I have an xbox one (original - bought one month after launch) and it doesn't have HDR which sucks. I don't know if I will go for the xbox one s or xbox one x.

Could be big. Always good to have options. Microsoft is obviously testing this out for the release of Scarlett. Good move, that might be the only way to get a potentially $600 console into as many homes as possible.

Doesn't it work out cheaper if you buy the console outright? Instead of a 2 year contract at $35 a month.

Yes and no. Yes, if you just want the console outright, but no if you were to buy it with a two year game pass and two year live gold. Unless you wait in hoes to get lucky and buy them, GP/LG, on the cheap when on sale or through cdkeys.

That depends on what your buying. for the Xbox One s is a steal on that monthly payment but for the XBOX ONE X that is a maybe. They both come out cheaper but it depends on how much.

Still, the monthly payment is a good option for people who don't want to kill their savings and just get the whole thing on this payment which is great.

And it’ll help build up your credit whilst play games , kinda a win win ;)

If you can afford the extra tenner a month and have a 4K tv, the X is a no brained IMO.

Would they then auction them off (maybe make a reality show out of it) or just sale them on a secret site where they sell them at a discount.
