Xbox Impressions from Whitta

You posted the same tweet twice btw :p

Anyways, Whitta is someone who I would trust, listend to his podcasts on GB and he seems like a stand up guy.
 
He probably meant the opposite of what he tweeted, I'm sure of it.

Nope. Ryse can't be fun.
According to PS4 fanboys that have played the game.....the graphics are amazing but the gameplay is horrible.

Whitta is a cool guy, had a few interactions with him at GAF.

He wrote Book of Eli which I like, and more importantly was a long time writer for PC Gamer, one of the founding editors IIRC. (he's not just a random semi-celeb, he has roots in gaming journalism)

I don't know why anyone actually expects the OS to be slow though..lol.. it's not exactly performing computational miracles.

I get the impression he quit GAF though? He was interviewed somewhere and basically complained in the interview about ignorant people on the internet critiquing his main career with no actual experience or qualifications.. seemed like a back-handed comment towards NeoGAF, and a thread was created about it.. IIRC he never showed up again.

Also, After Earth.. he wrote it.. kind of a disaster.. have to quit the internet after that, lol.

Apparently twitter has been telling him he's wrong all day LOL I am assuming GAF is as well. Honestly though, if I was having my thoughts or opinions or work ripped apart by silly people on a forum I wouldn't visit there either.

As for After Earth..I wouldn't hold it against Gary..he was working with Shyamalan after all LOL

Lol, I'd quit the internets after that too, really liked Book of Eli so he gets a pass for that.

I can understand guys talking smack at each other on gaming forums, but geez. Give the guy a break on his personal Twitter account. Some emotional fans will go all out on every site and social network.

It really is pathetic. I thought we were past all this Xbox One hate but nope. People still feel the need to bash Microsoft and anyone that sticks up for them.

I have this theory that no matter what it is. When something becomes popular the haters will come out of the woodwork. People need lives.

We need some kind of "Twitter harassment enforcer" to ban this people from writing stupid posts. These kids need to go outside and do something with his/her life's.
 
Whitta also writes for games...like The Walking Dead games by TellTale. Strange not seeing him credited for that work in a gaming thread. ;)

I think it was mentioned in another thread...things are starting to meld together so much being talked about in multiple threads, its hard to know who said what where and if it is part of a thread or not :p
 
I just had a thought. Why did it have to be a Whitta? Couldn't it be a Blakka? When is Gary Blakka going to give us his impressions?

I was never really worried about this to be honest. I'm pretty sure both consoles have issues and kinks that are still being worked on all the way up to launch. I would have been really shocked if someone had said everything was going smoothly because that wouldn't seem very realistic. The issues that have been rumored seem pretty par for the course for a console launch, but there seems to be this constant goal by a certain set to leak and hint any piece of potential negative Xbox information to counter any good news that the console might have.

Otherwise, it is nice to see that the UI is working out well. Videos of it have looked great so far.
 
Fanboys are like lawyer, they do not listen to logic, only find/make up faults with the opposition, & spin anything in favor of their client. The difference, unlike Lawyer, tehy do not get paid.
