Ryse
Of the five games we looked at, Ryse also gave us the strongest sense that we were playing something on a next-gen console: there’s simply no way these environments could exist on an Xbox 360. Provided that the single-player campaign and story deliver, this could be a surprise hit on launch day.

DR3
While Dead Rising 3 definitely got us excited, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we’d seen it all before (albeit on a much smaller scale). If you’re looking to be wowed like never before, this wont be the game to do it — but Dead Rising fans will happily gobble it up.

KI
Intriguingly, Killer Instinct is being offered as a free download with four playable characters to choose from — you then have the option of purchasing additional characters via DLC. We think this is a much better approach to a traditional demo (i.e. 0– instead of buying the whole game, you can choose to only add content that appeals to you. Like the saucy vixen Black Orchid, for example. Hnngh.)

Forza
The dynamically rendered car damage looked incredibly impressive; you can even make out individual speckles of mud and dirt on the car’s chassis during gameplay.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the game after taking a Mclaren P1 and Ferrari F12 Berlinetta for a test drive on Prague’s Laguna Seca raceway:

The paint job is way slicker as you’d expect, but they’ve also really doubled down on the physics engine — the difference is really noticeable. I also love the little details like the way each car’s spoiler behaves realistically and differently for each model. While it’s still a racing game, dismissing it as ‘more of the same’ wouldn’t be accurate.

Aussie rev-heads will also be pleased to hear that Bathurst has been confirmed as a race track. There will also be a Limited Edition available which will include multiple car packs and a VIP membership for the game.

Kinect Sports Rivals
To summarise, it appears that the Kinect still has significant technical issues when it comes to actual physical gaming.

That said, we doubt there’s a single gamer alive who plans on buying an Xbox One specifically for the Kinect functionality. In other words, its effectiveness as a gaming peripheral isn’t a deal breaker and will be largely irrelevant to the vast majority of gamers.

I just hope this happens. This is the only thing keeping me from preordering the game. I want a good story, not just a combat simulator.

You and everyone else. Crytek makes beautiful looking games, but gameplay and substance are arse. Hope they have evolved for RYSE.

They better have a good demo of it when they have the X1 demo units out next month. That will help people determine if they are going to buy it or not. I have many misgivings about the animation and combat flow: it needs to feel next gen.

Thought KI game, you can get only Jago for free, not 4 characters to choose from, or one of the 4 (at least at launch). Or did something change?

This article is from the UK, but explains it well enough

Xbox One's free-to-play fighter Killer Instinct will be available at the console's launch with up to six characters, depending on how many you buy.

You can download the game for free with one character available but extra fighters will cost £3.99/€4.99 each, Microsoft detailed on its Xbox Wire blog.

Alternatively, you can buy the Killer Instinct Combo Breaker pack, which includes six launch characters and will grant early access to two post-launch DLC fighters. This will cost £16.99/€19.99.

Finally there's the Killer Instinct Ultra Edition, which Microsoft describes as "the best value" for fans. This includes the six launch fighters, early access to the two DLC characters, accessory packs, extra costumes and the original Killer Instinct arcade game.

The best racing sim keeps getting better. So looking forward to Forza 5.

It just gets better with each reveal, with each new vid... and I love the time period being used. Just awesome.

TBH, out of all next gen titles being shown, for any console, this is the only one that really REALLY feels like it so far. I am sure the others will be awesome, but just something about Ryse makes me excited to own it.

150k for the character models. When another title gets to half of that with everything else going on let me know. I'll then tell you... "That is nothing, there was a lauch tiitle with twice that!!"

The biggest game this new gen for me so far would be Quantum Break. I want all the details on that. It's Remedy, so we know it's going to be the best. X1 has awesome freaking exclusives. I just wish we had more QB details.

Ryse has my attention (it always did). The setting and time period are right up my alley... though I don't know how I feel about being a Roman killing Celts...
