With gold being all the rage among smartphones these days, it's now extending over to game consoles. London department store Harrods has launched a 24-karat gold plated Xbox One, in its moves to appease the affluent.

Available just in time for Christmas, Harrods is making the 24-karat gold plated Xbox One available for a cool £6,000 ($9,750). Other than an outer exterior that has a little bling bling, you're not getting anything different from an Xbox One available on Amazon. Still, this would look really cool next your television.

The question we have: do you still have to pay for Xbox Live Gold?​
 
Looks gaudy. I'll wait for the much better looking Platinum version.

If I ever get that, I'd keep it in a box. 100% Mint condition. Within next few years, more than one million dollars is waiting at your door.
 
Isn't Diamonds worth more than gold? I'd imagine Xbox One as Diamonds will be worth at least $15,000 to $20,000.
 
Yeah, I agree, looks gaudy. I'd rather see modded with a light bar the whole way around it that was green or the like along with black paint.
