Yes. I see some people talk about Ass Creed as an example of not hitting full 4k, but that runs higher settings than the 'Bone, so it also can't be hit with the "no compromise" criticism. If a One X game can't do 4k at the 'Bone's settings, then it makes their statements inaccurate. Is there even a One X game that isn't offering higher settings to go with the res boost?

This is not possible with every game.
If it was we wouldn't see all the sub 4K games that are coming.
Exclusives should/could end up being true 4k though.

I linked a decent external sshd in this thread...i think I'm going that route.

There are more than 30+ 4K/60 games on One X and, even more 4K/30. That constitutes a 4K gaming console to me. Most of these games are enhanced with 4K assets. No other console (PC not included) can tout such numbers. That's a 4K console.
 
Here's why it's a stupid criticism, as well as just splitting hairs: The thing could do 4K with all games, and Microsoft could mandate that all 3rd parties do so... but why on earth would anyone really want that? Let the developers decide what's best for their games! Why would Microsoft ruling like a dictator be better? It doesn't even matter how powerful they actually made it, some developers would rather spend resources elsewhere. This is a fact!

As for the compromise part, the thing seems to be breaking even at $500. What more do you want? Go but a PC or something. Sheesh! Has anything ever been as "no-compromise" as a console since maybe Neo-Geo? I don't think so.

Nice try at attempting to slow the hype for this thing down, but it's not going to work.

Sony does this these same folks are quite and all we hear are crickets and high 5s. MS does it and they break out the microscopes to pick it to death and attempt to label MS bigger monsters then Harvey Weinstein and Cosby combined.
 
Why don't they just make every game a pirate game now? That's basically what every game is! We play as treasure hunters looking for treasure in loot boxs..


Forza the racing pirate game

Shadow of War, the Orc murdering pirate game.

NBA2K18, the Basketball pirate game.

I tell ya! The thing is, we are talking about what? A mission statement? Yeah, that seems to be the best fit for it. "4K, no compromises" was like a mission statement, right? I mean, it's a bit figurative, yet a bit literal. I mean, for what they have proven to be able to do for the asking price, anybody that thinks they were being deceitful is really not being honest with themselves. They have actually been completely open about everything from the start, which is unprecedented. They told the basic specs, then they have more specs a year later. They actually let the pros do their own tear-down months before release. I mean, how could they possibly be more transparent?

Oh that's right. "No compromises". It's like some pizza company you don't like has a slogan "All cheese, all the time", yet they continue to put other stuff on it. So freaking annoying! Sometimes, they just use those fancy mozzarella balls, and they leave most of the darn thing uncovered! So freaking dishonest! it's because they are lying freaking liars! Don't go there!

This post doesn't change what i said...
Not all games will be 4K.
Most of the current gen true 4K games will be the exclusives.
Not all(my guess is half or less) 3rd party games will be true 4K.

That's because MS is held to a higher standard. There are high expectations and extra sets of eyes are on you when you're a company that earns about $20 billion profit per year.

On the other hand, a company selling off any asset they have, and laying off 20,000 people, scrambling for crumbs and spare change in the couch is given free passes to act that way.

Wrong. It is possible with every game. I know you don't like it, but that's your issue.

Developers can choose their own path. They can be hardline on 4K or push other visual aspects of the game.

Not all current gen games can run true 4K with the X as the power just isn't there.
If it was ALL games would be True 4K.
When the console releases and not all games are true uncompromised 4K you will see.
I don't want no spinning either when this truth comes to light.

Or a pirate pirate game, it would be soooooooo meta.

But it could probably work in forza, they did make a hot wheels expansion. With turn10/PG having access to the water tech from rare.

Dude, better yet, bluehole, has/shares said same tech. They could share their knowledge and make a forza battle royale expansion.... one for sea of thieves too :)

But there are more 4K games on this particular console than any other. I'm stating with those kind of stats, by all rights you should be able determine what is actually 4K console as no other device in the console space can say the same.

And again, people are trying to call this thing too soon. Its really hard to determine what will happen once the console is out in the wild. All I'm saying is wait and see. You don't want to have to come back and recover from what you said in haste.

You've brought this up many times as if everyone in the world thinks X1X is going to have 100% native 4k games.

Spencer himself said it's up to devs to do what they want last year.

Don't pat yourself on the back, because nobody thinks all X1X games will be true 4k.

Just like any console, or PC high end cpu/gpu, there is no standard. Even ancient 8-bit games messed around with resolution or black borders.
