regards to marketing MS could simply at the end of an ad like they do now say "get the xboxOneS for $249 or the xboxOne4k for $399". Nice, simple and easy to understand for everyone.

Plus as rumored before, I'm hoping we'll hear about some sort of 'trade-up' program for Scorpio.

You're forgetting the kinect sku...

EB in aus let's you pre order, they have it down as project Scorpio and when proper reveal happens they shift your order over. 1st in too so no missing out if for some reason limited stock.

It's a really neat thing to do. I've been very encouraged every time I watch a Microsoft conference. Like the recent Build conference. There seems to be a great, really creative vibe going on there. I really hope to see that flow into the gaming division. I'm excited for E3, and hopefully MS bearing down as the Powerhouse they are.

MS VR Motion Controller seems cool. Tracked by the headset, eh? Resembles the Vive one a bit.

My biggest concern with the headset tracking the hands, is does it have to be in view? If so, that's not good enough.

Some experienced VR users have however already complained of some issues inherent in the technology, noting that due to the optical tracking using the cameras in the headset the technology would not be able to track your hands accurately if you look over your shoulder for example or sweep them behind your back. The controllers do feature an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and use inverse kinematics to allow for some tracking when they’re not in the camera’s view, but this will not be as accurate as the optical tracking.

They need to show a s*** load of games @E3 and IMMEDIATELY after start heavily advertising the Scorpio and its versions of those games.
The faster they get the word out to the masses the better success it will have.

I think you'll see ALL the games running on Scorpio. First game will most likely be Forza Motorsport 7 running REAL 4K 60fps with high-rez textures.

Sony does VR = everything is fine, just an optional add-on
MS does VR = ZOMG they are ditching games!!!!

No argument there. Supposedly that was the purpose of the DF reveal; so that the hardware was covered and they could abbreviate that portion of E3 to focus on games.

Kind of a useless article. I mean the actual first comment has nothing to do with console specs.
“The big problem with consoles for a game like Viking is the interface more than the hardware,”
I think that the person writing the article was stretching it a bit to get in on the Scorpio talk.

Well considering that MS has chosen not to provide Scorpio with it's own reveal, it's probably going to be used to demonstrate everything at E3.

And going forward I don't think we'll ever see another Xbox One exclusive ever running on OG Xbox One at a press event ever again. Scorpio will be the lead in all graphic showcases and performance demonstrations from now on.

Actually, after some more thought, when you really look at the headsets, the sensors go petty wide. I'm guessing that the sensor fov is standard (even if the display isn't). I haven't seen a published number for the angle, though.

I really don't see it being the issue that some are making it out to be, especially since internal sensors take over from the last seen spot. The fact is, that they haven't publicly demoed them yet. This means maybe they are waiting for E3 to do just that.

Honestly, I can't wait!

I'm hoping Scorpio brings back picture in picture.

Playing a game and having a baseball or hockey game in the corner is multi-tasking goodness. No doubt, the picture quality of the tv feed is cut in half when playing a game, but the audio is fine.

Actually, I'd love to be able to just listen to a podcast whilst playing
