Xbox One X

Besides new IP's from MS, what else would you guys like to see on the Xbox for 2018?

  • Wireless ear piece headset?
  • Keyboard and Mouse support?
  • Missing any dashboard features you were looking for still?
I am running out of "necessities" for the console now other than just more games and more game innovation.

Homebrew. Get me that PSOne and PS3 backwards compatibility just to piss people off.
Halo 6 : Face/Off 3
Forza Horizon 4: Russia's Revenge
OG Xbox Live (I suspect this won't happen....because its coming in 2017)
If PUBG is still selling in a years time, buy the IP\dev.

I'm expecting that we will have a number of new exclusive IP's shown at E3 2018. I am also expecting a Surface Phone running Android and Windows Apps with wireless streaming baked in. One thing I really would like to see is 4K movie support on the dashboard app.

I will sacrifice children (not mine but someones) to microsoft if they secure the star wars games license.

EA sure doesn't know what to do with it after dissolving visceral.

-A good, semi-affordable racing wheel.
-Customization for elite controller

I'm really surprised that they haven't expanded the customization options with Elite. Would be nice to map a trigger to Save ScreenShot or something like that.

The ideal situation would be if it wasn't exclusive to any one publisher.

the proposal is of course flimsy but if they ever did get it, that's at least several varied and talented developers working on it and as opposed to EA, I could see them licensing it out further to other studios outside their ownership, if such a thing were legally possible for the disney overlords.

All this convoluted mess just to get my obsidian star wars RPG

It's worth it and everyone knows it. Anyone who says otherwise is a lizard person.

As an aside, I do think the games require some degree of control at this point. With disneys insistence on maintaining a more coherent timeline, coordinating between several different developers to not cross over and contradict the events and such would be a major headache.

Is anybody having problems with downloading the updates for the games? I have about 60 or so games surely some of them are getting updated. I know for sure fh3 is and there's no updates available for any games.

4k patches?

I just downloaded my Xbox One X, what do I do now?
Pretty sure the wire coming into your home that you downloaded the Xbox One X through is pretty gaping right now. Might want to work on tightening up that hole. :hehe:

Just paid off the mutha:bang:

Gotta find an unlocked home with a 4k set now...

K/M support is the biggest thing at this point. Has to be implemented smartly. System needs to detect the peripheral and there needs to be a way to combat the inevitable onslaught of 3rd party devices that will release that will fool the system into thinking you're using a controller. If done right, it's a solid add and opens up the Xbox ecosystem to RTSs and other types of games previously exclusive to PC. Would also benefit content creators who want to add mods and maps to existing games.

Their studios are busy with other stuff. Unless you want MS to be 100% Star Wars you would have the same issues with EA who have talented studios but they can't all be put on Star Wars.

KB/M is coming this month for sure if that Hori M/KB thing I posted earlier is launching functional.

Also, VaLL has had good things to say about the Hori 6 button controllers. I just wish they were wireless.

A Surface phone that runs on android but has all the best parts of windows phone? I'd be all over that. I've loved my windows phones (Nokia 1520 at the moment), but it feels like its getting even less support than it used to and once I am done with school, I'll probably move to android.

Surface Android phone. Make it happen MS.

MS announced WP death last week.

I won't be getting an X until after the new year most likely. But I can't wait to read/hear/see impressions and media.
