2 hours and thats the highlight? I think I made the right move to stop watching.
That "cloud destruction" for CD3 looks pretty unimpressive, didn't they make it sound like the entire city would be able to be leveled when they first announced this thing? now it's just smaller maps, hell BF Bad Company 2 with new textures would be more impressive than what was shown there lol. I also don't get why they choose to keep focusing on Terry Crews so much, he must be getting a ton of money for them to feel the need to focus on him so much more than gameplay.
Not super impressed by that. Doesn't look better than the old red faction damage, to be honest and pretty down-graded from what they showed before. Could be fun though.
Yeah that looks like the same old thing we've had for many years, they really don't make a case for why "cloud" is needed with this.
Cloud is for syncing and persistence. I think. If rubble stays and accumulates while affecting subsequent destruction, then that's definitely a step up. I really hope we can shoulder through walls in the main game..
Is anyone going to notice that kind of thing during gameplay though? After a building falls nobody is going to pay attention to something on the ground, in a single player game you may have time to look around but in an MP game it's going to be too fast paced to even notice. To me it just seems like they were too ambitious with what they originally talked about doing and it's basically been dropped down to barely better than what games were doing last gen.
I don't care about the destruction. I'm more tripping on how neon and shiny everything looks. CD1 had a slightly gritty look that seems to be gone from this game.

They needed the lights to make the game stand out IMO, the first showing it looked really dull and lacked any sort of spark visually. Of course the MP looks like something out of TRON more than a city.
Reports are saying the cloud destruction really delivers. I thought it looked really good on my end and Warzone did look like something out of Halo.
My worry stems from the actual gameplay of the multiplayer. Hoping they can make it more appealing. So far, it looked pretty sub standard. Betting the SP is on point though.

I thought the show had decent content if you didn’t get sucked into any overhype rumors. Not the best delivery.
Inside Xbox in general is too long. The Inside Xbox crew in general doesn’t feel authentic. Like you can’t tell if they’re into videogames from watching them.
My positive takeaways:
For next year, show should be shorter. Pacing wasn’t good. Interviews weren’t good. Inside Xbox staff was never funny despite continuing to try. I’d say stop trying. Show ran out of steam at the end. Even the crowd ran out of juice.

- Hybrid Cloud compute works
- Spencer meant what he said when he talked about investing in single player
- Game Pass is Microsoft’s best gaming invention since Xbox Live
- Microsoft is serious about protecting their IPs. Impressed with the continued investment in improving Sea of Thieves and State of Decay with updates that aren’t paid DLC.

I watched most of the show, & it reminds me when I have to write a report in school but have very little stuff to show & try to squeeze every juicy out of the very little stuff I have.
like, squeeze as much time as possible to reveal new gamepass games. Let squeeze time on an update for a sea of thieves. minecraft, & showing Multiplat games.
No new games, no hint of Xbox Next, not new contents for Halo or Gears.
Now, not saying these contents ain't nice, but if hyping the xbox brand /Next is the goal, it failed miserably.
If I am someone who is on the fence of which next console to get next gen, after seeing this, the obvious choice is PS5.

They should change the entire team. That sales part with Major Nelson..now that was cringe worthy and the over the top crowd cheering got really annoying.
I like that the older Final Fantasy games are coming and the acquisition confirmation of Obsidion and InXile. Forza Horizon 4, State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves new content reveal was nice. I would've liked to learn something about what Ninja Theory or The Initiative is doing, even if ithey just showed some concept art with an interview.
While I do agree on parts of your posts, you two really are among the most negative posters on the internets. I've said it before, but I do have lots of tips for feeling better about yourselves and the world. Just ask and I'll pm you guys info.
You seem to think anything that's not 100% in favor of MS is being overly negative, you should be more open to people having differing opinions and not being corporate cheerleaders.

There were a pretty constant amount of tweets essentially saying what to expect. Even the beginning of the show, there was am entire road map of what to expect. If you were expecting more than what they said you'd get, that's on you.
Its called Fanfest for a reason. It was a marketing show for fans of Xbox. It wasnt meant to be a mini E3 (which was said by Major Nelson too) they delivered what they promised.
Hell, I didn't care for all of it either. But there were a few things I'll invest in for sure. I certainly didn't expect anything more than what the damned actual roadmap in the very beginning of the show spelled out for us. LOL.
