Two years. It feels like it’s been longer than that. The date crept up on me. I didn’t realize it until I got the reminder on my iPhone that UnionVGF has hit two years. That’s pretty cool. I looked back at the News/Suggestions forums and read the posts from oldest to newest. It’s interesting to see how the site evolved. Of course, when we first launched, it was chaos. I was new at it, we were at a new home, and it was happening at a breakneck speed. As time went, we got the hang of it.
The core group of us at TeamXbox is still here. Some have moved on but the majority of the core group that was still there during the transition are still here. That means something to me and the community. We’re still here posting away and talking about games, movies, cat pics, life. A few members were having a rough time and thank the community for being there for them when they need it. That’s something that I love about our community. We all have had our differences, mostly with menace-uk- and when he incorrectly disagrees with my view on a movie, but we still help each other out when we need it. I’ve been to other forums where people were seeking life advice and the reaction was none too pleasing.
I can’t express my thanks enough for the work that the mod team does (Aqua Snake blue Clubba (In absentia) Ketto Li Tan wshowers DarkPassenger illiniguy (In absentia) The Living Tribunal The Wolf King Nike Lol). The site wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t for you guys. You guys make it run and keep trucking along. Andy, a special thanks to you for all of the hard work you’ve done. You almost, literally, came back from the dead and picked up right where you left off. I, along with every other member, thank you for setting the example of how a mod should be. Other forums would be grateful to have a mod like you!
It’s been two years and I hope there’s many more years to come. While I don’t game as much as I used to the community is still my home. I’m always connected to the forums. Not a half hour goes by, except when I’m sleeping, that I’m not here with the community. I hope that all of you feel the same way and we’re still all here years down the road.
Thank you, everyone!
