You cooking anything for Thanksgiving?

Scheduled to work so celebrating the food part tonight... They might have 2 many staff Thursday and let me go home but for now its 2night.

Not this year . My sister and I alternate . She told me to bring a dish (will just show up with stouffers mac and cheese , lol!) I love it when all I have to do is show up at her house and eat. Not to mention she and my brother and law are wonderful cooks!

Turkey day at our place this year, we alternate with my wife's cousin, so we get to do all the cooking. Luckily there's only 12(?) coming this year. Went to the Turkey farm today and got the main dish :)

Mac and Cheese is good... and a good idea for me to do sometime because no one ever does bring it for a family gathering.

Well I'm a single person that lives in a small apartment so doubt I'll have to worry about hosting any events soon. Usually Thanksgiving my parents host. In the past they've gone to a restaurant that is more central to the family (Kvally ever been to the Maple Tree in McFarland?).

I was at the Maple Tree in McFarland 2 weeks ago. Boom!

Just dropped the bird in the brine (water, dark cherry belgian ale, brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, dried crushed haberneros, apples, orange slices and juice, lemon, garlic, fresh ginger, onions, bay leaves, and fresh rosemary)!

Also brining about 10 lbs of wild caught King Mackerel(thanks, 'cuz) in the same broth (separate container).

I will have three grills running tomorrow early AM.
The turkey will be in the roaster/smoker and the fish will be smoking in the stand alone wood smoker. My brothers are bringing fresh caught wild turkey breast and venison. That will be cooked on the weber. I love to cook, my bros love to hunt. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Not a big fan of turkey to be honest and usually go with ham if available. But damn if there is fish available sign me up.

Impressive. A fellow union member who LOVES fish.

Samon?

Tilapia?

What say you?
Yes? I'm a pretty lazy cook so I usually just use my George Foreman to grill salmon. Last time I had fish at a restaurant I went with Tilapia and before that catfish. And of course being from Wisconsin I've had plenty of cod in my lifetime from fish frys.

It's a normal day here... so I'll just cook the usual Meth.

P.s. happy turkey day! Gobble gobble!

I'll assume that today is about when the pilgrims realized they were out numbered by turkeys, and didn't want to be enslaved by them, so they had to organise a culling... or a reaping.

So once a year, the turkeys send tributes from each district, where the weakest are killed and sent to your table. The winners get to live, and become pretty fly and get to breed like crazy, until next year's culling, in the Turkey Games.

That's basically correct.

most of my immediate family is out of town til dec, so I took myself, my brother, and his girl (with their baby) to a club I am a member of and had a nice turkey dinner there with all the trimming, was so damn full afterwards. I plan on having a more traditional dinner for Xmas once everybody is back in town.

So I decided to celebrate Thanks Giving post-humus-ly (I had some left over dip), by playing some Cranberries (Their early stuff. Delores got a bit crazy in the last album) and dancing the mash potato...
And tomorrow, I have a grindr date, and I've just discovered this new thing called "Bae-sting"... Where you make your bae, sting by [edit], and then you [edit] like he's a turkey.

Happy Thanks Living!
