Zelda Wii U in 2015? Nope. @ E3? NOPE!

Yeah, with all this news...nothing is certain anymore. It makes me start to doubt all upcoming games. Halo 5 this holiday? Yeah we'll see, Tomb Raider? The chance of a release in 2016 is just as big as a release this year. Anything in this industry is possible. I honestly did not expect this delay for Zelda at all. I mean it already takes a long time for a Zelda game to arrive on new Nintendo hardware, they finally reveal it, 2015 seemed very likely...and then...this. Meh.
It absolutely f***ing sucks that they aren't even gonna show it during E3. Why the hell not? Why the hell not make a trailer solely for E3, SHOWING what the team has been working on, the results of the delay and this was showing people that it's gonna be worth it and that this delay was worth it? SMH!!!!

Yeah not showing at E3 makes no sense at all. Unless Rollins is right and " the new possibilities" means moving to new hardware.
Well, Twilight Princess was dual released on the Gamecube and newly released at the time Wii, so there is precedent.
No but I have had trouble believing the Zelda footage was running on the Wii U but took Nintendo's word. This leads me to believe it was running on PC with a Wii U controller and will be put on a console that can actually run it... The Nintendo NX... As a launch title!Uh oh, its going mobile F2P
No way would it have been in 2nd, Zelda is one of my favorite series and quite popular but it wasn't going to sell enough Wii Us to compete with MS or Sony.
I know, just sucks, but I think if they would have had a popular Zelda upfront it might have help get a lead.
Yep I agree, no Zelda. Expensive launch price (for a nintendo system) and customer confusion sunk the Wii U.
What do they have left for the holiday season? Xenoblade Chronicles and Mario Maker? Is that it?
Xenoblade Chronicles looks somewhat interesting. It's a JRPG, though, and I'm always wary of those. Still, I'll be paying attention to the reviews.
I wouldn't be interested in creating my own 2-d platformer, so Mario Maker doesn't appeal to me.

Splatoon is out in May, I think. Interesting to hear about Devil's Third and Starfox. The former doesn't hold much appeal, but I'm curious how Starfox will turn out. I never played the other games, but I know it has a following.
Nintendo would have to have a Dreamcast style launch for me to throw down 300-400. Unless they show Metroid or something EPIC my U is going on Craigslist, have not turned it on since January

Yeah it's sad. You've basically been the sole contributor to the Nintendo forums at times and they're even losing your patience and enthusiasm.
I love most of their first party stuff. But Nintendo can't survive on that alone anymore.
