He looks like that during many of his movies, he shrinks down almost immediately after though, so I'm confident he is put on a light cycle of some test or other PED a few months before filming begins.
What’s PED?He looks like that during many of his movies, he shrinks down almost immediately after though, so I'm confident he is put on a light cycle of some test or other PED a few months before filming begins.
Not that impressive tbh, pretty much what you'd expect.
Better than playing batman and refuse to workout like twinky Patterson though.
Performance enhancing drugs = steroids mainly in this regard, but you can count whatever drug that makes you perform better in sports etc. What’s PED?
Yes, was at a friends house many months back and they were filming a scene for the movie during a UFC fight weekend. So in the movie he will be a UFC fighter. Also, he's staring in the Roadhouse remake?
He has done 4 reviews in 3 years. 3 of which are in the last 2 days.I'm still excited to see this, but the reviews are all over the place
5/10 review....'boring', 'mess'
'Road House' Review: Jake Gyllenhaal Can’t Punch His Way Through This Mess | SXSW 2024
Gyllenhaal may be in the right shape for the role, but how does this remake compare to the original?collider.com
Pretty much what I said.Just finished it. Ehhhhh, this is tough. With remakes I usually find it would better if it didn’t have the original to compare it to.
It’s a pale imitiaton of the original, but it has its moments. There are some good fight and action scenes, but they are marred by crappy CGI. At times it felt the Fast and the Furious. MacGregor makes a good bad guy, but his acting is over the top and turns him into almost a Marvel character.
My main complaint is Gyllenhall’s Dalton is just kinda flat. Besides being a former MMA fighter with a past, he’s just not that interesting. Most of his lines are delivered in this monotone cardboard-ness, and at the end of the day it’s hard to care about him. Even the love interest part is negligible at best.
Again, if this was a brand new movie I’d probably give it more like a 73/100. But I love the original and I had more hope for this one. It’s worth a watch, but I’m a little disappointed after waiting so long.
68/100
Agreed. Like unnecessarily bad. I keep hearing 'but you must not enjoy modern movies!' when I make this complaint. And again, I blame the fast and the furious for this. Most of those movies are like cotton candy pop music...all visual, no substance with over the top action sequences that could have been great but ended up turning too unbelievable, just like F and F.The fights look so strange in this at times. The camera work just comes off like they are trying to hide bad CGI but actually makes it stand out more. Also didn't need to be that long.
