lol really? KI doesn't even have stuff that fighters that came out years ago had. No lobby system to speak of and no gameplay modes that involve more than 1 other person. The game is as anti social as you can get. It's still fun but to put it on such a pedestal is nuts.
Says you. I've had more regular play sessions with buddies, and yes even randoms, in KI than I've had with any other game for a couple of months. I spent at least 4 hours last night playing with a buddy; that doesn't seem particularly antisocial to me.
As far as the game goes, people compare games to other games too much these days. KI has a low cost of entry, and will grow from here. Lobbies will be added in by the end of season 1 with the indication being March at the moment. Who said anything about a pedestal. If a game is fun, that should be enough for people to mention and consider it a favorite of theirs.
The gameplay itself( the most important part of a game last i checked) is on point and easily up there with the best fighters.( this being a western fighter i am especially impressed by the speed and responsiveness as well as the animations, compare that to Netherrelms stiff feeling characters, guess i shouldn't be surprised considering most of these people worked on SF games) Being someone who HATED the previous KI games( 1 and 2) and thought they were barely better than "Time Killers" as far as gameplay and character designs are concerned , i was amazed by just how good it was when i first got to play it. I will agree 100% at the moment it needs a lobby and more modes but we already know those are coming.( to be honest single player isn't that big of a deal for me in a fighter. It's boring compared to playing against other people online. I only deal with it to unlock stuff or practice) The fact that i can put so many hours into a game that doesn't have all of these modes and not get bored by it is a testament to just how good it is.
I am not seeing anything on the PS4 at the moment that is doing it for me like KI is. Maybe in a few months when Second Son comes out or something, but for me KI is X1's "Killer app". At least until Titanfall comes out.

I don't even have the game but I know it's going to have a lobby system and two new characters in the near future. Also, most fighters only have modes that involve 1 other person. You might as well hate on KOF, Blazblue, Soul Calibur and many other franchises if that's your criteria for being an acceptable /great fighting game.
They're also going to adress rage quitters when they update. The netcode is the best a fg has ever had. Let me say this again...the best... I think they're doing pretty well (more than other companies have promised and delivered). They're not even at 50% of the full cast atm. Pedestal?..nah
I just finished Brothers: A tale of two sons on Xbox 360. I know it's not on Xbox One, but i don't see a 360 thread. What an amazing experience this game was. It really touched me too. I definitely want to see more unique games like these in the future on Xbox One.
I actually didn't know that they addressed the lobby system complaint. That's awesome news and it was my main complaint with the game. Dead Or Alive did it right. The point I was ultimately trying to make is the fact that Ki is not better than every game on the ps4. I actually enjoy KI though I stopped playing it after a while because of the lobby system and rage quitters but it was still a fun game. Still not better than everything ps4 has >.>
You mean make the opinion. The fact is that there are people who prefer KI than all of PS4's. Another fact is that we all have different tastes.

Ms should have made the controller with a headphone jack. It is a nice feature of the ps4 controller
I love how you all keep trying to preach to me about facts and opinions but you just happen to ignore the guy who started it all by stating his "opinion" as fact in the first place. The guy I was just replying to. I guess since it's pro xbox it doesn't matter though right?
In this case, you can't be surprised when you have to defend your opinion. Especially when you hold KI up (which is still evolving) to the likes of KZ or Knack. KI is a better addition to the fighter genre than either of those games are to the shooter or platformer genre respectively. You can always agree to disagree since everything is a matter of opinion. Calling pro xbox this pro xbox that is a moot point in the X1 thread, don't you think? Is it unfair because more people here like something you don't?

I can see Zoo Tycoon and Lococycle being the first free games on Xbox One.
Crimson Dragon is selling pretty damn well going off the Leaderboards so I doubt they will feel the need to make it free yet.

Yeah, but the reality is that the few agitators we have are very noisy and if given a chance, they'll run rampant in a thread like that. Its already been tried twice and it failed miserably.
